Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

This website helps somewhat. It might be the literal last bastion situation, but it still helps to know you can just come here and speak your mind. Really helps unloading the brain.

Websites great, though it has its rough patches and dogmas too. People have their little zoo's/safe spaces, especially when it comes to some cows that they a-log and shit and even Null gets tired off it from time to time though the general rule is to let people have their safe space.
But yea, the Blue, Red and Orange areas are pretty much great, I keep coming back to the site every once in a while to exchange some thoughts, it's really nice.

It's what the internet used to be, you can let of steam, different people of different opinions can co-exist (kinda, the Ukraine-Russia thing did sperg out a bit) and nothing is really a taboo topic while people can both talk the talk and to an extent walk the walk. The Jannies are pretty good too, fuck me silly for praising them but its true.

Alright I was gonna go hit the sack a hour ago but forgot to do something anyway. I'ma shut up now. But it's nice hearing from everyone.
The feels are real!

On topic guys: Is the Ukrainian offensive completely over now? Have they redeployed any forces to Adevka yet from the south or are they still trying to hold on to their relatively small gains there?

In a practical sense, the Great Ukrainian Counteroffensive of 2023 ended a few weeks ago. There is an offensive operation northwest of Robotyne trying to expand the width of the area they hold by taking the first trench line. But not much else to speak of. The Ukrainians have (for now) given up trying to advance south of Robotyne.

There have been redeployments to the Adevka area but only on the order of a few brigades. The Ukrainians appear to have used those forces to strengthen the all-around defenses of Adevka. Particularly the western/rear side of the area. They also tried to attack from the north of the northern "arm" of the Russian operation. There is also fighting going on to the northwest and southwest of Adevka. The Russians have taken the fields but not any of the villages in those areas. The Ukrainians also launched a counteroffensive to take back the trash hill near the chemical plant in Adevka.

The result of the Russian offensive was that it makes Ukrainian resupply operations into Adevka more difficult. It also requires that the Ukrainians redeploy their forces for an all-around defense of the city. The Ukrainian position is overall worse at Adevka, but its such a strong and well-defended fortress that no direct attack on it will be successful. If they continue to do operations such as the recent ones, they could gradually get into a position where they make make supply very difficult for the city or perhaps eventually cut the supply routes entirely. But nothing is going to happen soon.

But nothing is going to happen soon.
As far as I can tell, time is very much on Russia's side in Ukraine, so I guess there's no rush. If there's any huge economic strains being put on Russia at a minimum they're doing a good job covering them up. I also see zero political will to look to replace Putin. But heaven knows I've been wrong before.

Going the other way, Ukraine on some level has to please their Western paymasters, but I doubt much will be happening on either side after 1 November. FWIW, Zelenskyy also seems secure in power, which honestly surprises me. But there it is.

As an aside, I'm about ready to give up talking to pro-Ukrainians, at least on places like Twitter. Good grief they come to the topic with an almost religious fervor that seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Putler is a baaadddd man and therefore he is going to lose, the stupid Ruzzzzians and their stoopid active defense means 8 Ruzzzzzians stoopid alcoholics die for every one precious Ukrainian martyr shedding their blood for the Motherland, and so on. It is just becoming rather tedious. Wish I could post my most recent Twitter exchange where the pro-Uke was literally making the Wunderwaffen argument, now, in October 2023 about F-16s and upgraded missiles, but that would tie my Twitter account to this account and I'd rather not do that.

Even as people criticize the Western narrative. You still see the remains of it in their mind. It's still there.

To add my 1.95₽ in here, we're like the Free City of Madrigal from Myth, bravely resisting the Armies of the Dark Woke.

I've personally long since given up talking to Ukiesimps. They don't even live in reality and treat this conflict like it's one of their dumb capeshit movies...what good would talking to them even do?

UkieTwitter is making claims that the Berydansk airfield got hit with ATACMS and lots of chopper losses occurred, including most of the Ka-52 fleet.

Weird that there are no videos of explosions like normally happens. We'll have to wait and see.

Even ignorance has value if you know what to look for - Knowing what, where and why other people are blind to things can help you avoid falling into that same trap yourself. Knowing the lies they believe can be useful too - The best lies tend to be misrepresented truths, so simply listening to those who are wrong can point you towards what's right.

Russian TG and Twitter confirm some kind of significant loss occurred. It's a war, shit happens.

Can't speak to helicopter losses, but it does look like the airfield took some hits.

Zelensky did a tweet not long ago announcing the successful use of ATACMS and thanking Biden. This seems like another attack designed for publicity rather a designed military operation. The spokestranny shared the tweet.

The Ukranian side is infected with a missplaced sence of rightousness and millions of moolahs for astrosurfing activities. So you get a bunch of boost in terms of likes and support when you write stuff and you feel good about it. Remember a lot of these people, maybe just like a lot of us, felt lost in the modern geopolitical world. Their governments constantly getting involved in unwinnable wars, them electing people to bring "Change" that bring nothing, etc. And then this happens and there's finally a boogeyman to unite against.

I like some of the Pro-Ukranians here on the forums for what its worth. But the twittersphere is beyond saving.
One should be mindful of the constant escalation of the conflict though.

If Putin is the "unpredictable" monster they think he is then they really should be worried about sending more and more advanced weapons to Ukraine. It's like they feel they are staring down an actual bear (let alone the proverbial bear) and constantly poking it with a stick. Subconsciously they may have actually stoped believing their exaggerations about him but the problem is they've poked him so much even without them he's bound to react.

And if he does, God have mercy on all our souls.

If it's true that a bunch of helicopters and other expensive shit has been destroyed by covertly US supplied missiles, seems like a pretty clear escalation? Is Russia holding back on using any equivalent/better missiles (not including nuclear)?

Also, at what point does Putin just say fuck the SMO, this is a war and fully mobilise?
