Some shitty unheard of publication, 'Interview Magazine' is running an article with Hasan and journalist extraordinaire Taylor Lorenz, I haven't read the thing because I don't feel like putting myself through that misery but I can only assume they discuss mutually relevant topics such as having atrocious fashion senses, pretending that they're 15 years younger than they actually are and virtue signaling their way into profitable grifts.

I don't know who okayed those pictures of Lorenz but woof.

I had a chuckle seeing Hasan act like he's going to read Taylor's book (or any book at all).

hasan reading

He also says "the right/right-wing/alt-right/reactionary" 10 times in the article. He's probably one of those annoying people at parties that has to connect almost any topic to their political ideology.

From today's stream, Hasan makes clear that he doesn't believe Hamas uses human shields:

>Doesn't believe the human shield claim despite even the UN confirming Hamas doing that
>Doesn't understand the point of human shields itself
>Thinks "human shields" in this case literally translates to a literal human shield being put in front of a rocket

Guys, I dunno how to tell you this...but I think Hassan might be retarded.

Apparently Hasan is going to be making an appearance on Piers Morgan's show "before he flies out to Twitchcon" which is happening this weekend so sometime in the next day or so I'm guessing.
Wondering if this means (((they))) are going to use this as an attempt to rein Hasan in for his Hamas apologism or if they're just giving him enough rope to hang himself on a larger stage. Either way I can't see this going well for Hasan at all, Piers may be a clown but I'm assuming he will at least be a little prepared for this and Hasan is an absolute moron at the best of times and cracks very quickly under any sort of minor confrontation. He's gonna get completely dogwalked by Piers.

what good are hostages if you dont use them as shields?

what a retard.

While Hasan is an idiot in many ways, after the podcast with Ethan and other remarks I've seen concerning this new conflict, I really can't buy anymore that this is Hasan simply being daft as opposed to him being so on board with the anti-Israel mission of Hamas that he's willing to act as their propogandist knowingly pedaling disinfo to a young, impressionable audience. I suspect that he not only very well knows how Hamas utilizes human shields, but is also approving of it since the act has certainly helped prevent Hamas from being utterly crushed by the IDF years ago, along with allowing for Hamas' victimization of Palestinians to be spun into further anti-Israeli sentiment. Hasan publicly denying the human shields with the suggestion of the absurd literal interpretation is just yet another power-level-hiding measure, and he even hints at his ulterior support of it by phrasing in the manner of "It's not happening, but if it is then it's good because it's effective."

A similar moment happened in the latter portion of the podcast with Ethan, during the discussion of the "gas the Jews" pro-Palestinian rally in Australia. Paraphrasing:
  • Ethan: "This obviously-anti-Semitic rally can't just be ignored as no big deal. Aren't you concern that someone who's pro-Palestinian can go downtown to join-"
  • Hasan: "JOIN HAMAS?! HAHA, NO WAY! THAT'S SO CRAZY!"
Ethan was obviously leading into the disturbing possibility of pro-Palestinians going to such rallies and getting caught up in anti-Semitic fervor, but Hasan interrupts mid-statement to loudly interject this absurdity that's easier for him brush off. ...Never mind that there really is a legit possibility for radicalized Westerners to join Hamas, as has happened before with ISIS.

The only thing I'm still not sure about is what the primary motivation is for Hasan's anti-Israel sentiment: typical Arab-style anti-Semitism or his ideological place as an anti-American tankie.

He’s hiding his anti-American tankie power level. I’m rescinding my thankfulness that he didn’t state support for Hamas; he did that because he knew how awful it would look.

He views Israel as an arm of Western Imperialism. The destruction of Israel would mean that the West loses influence over the Middle East. All he cares about is the West losing. It’s why he supports China.

It is a non-Western power. Has Hasan ever brought up the debt that countries like Angola have towards China? Actually, he probably has but then brought up the IMF and Western loans as a whataboutism. Because in his tankie mind, everything is ok as long as it’s not the West doing it.

Can we get Sam Hyde to show up at Twitchcon? I’d love to see Hasan run like a bitch from him.

In case you missed last year's festivities, he raged at two well-meaning guys when they brought up the Sam Hyde fight. You can tell it makes him feel incredibly insecure.

I'm the opposite. To me Hasan is a walking example of "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Correct me if I'm wrong here because if I'm honest, I usually find the Israeli-Palestine conflicts so toxic I want nothing to do with them. Usually all you can conclude is that at least one side is responsible for horrendous lies, (and it's probably both interchanging that position with each other) and the whole thing just makes me jaded and depressed looking at the conflict. I feel like the conflict can't heal because everyone's so ticked at each other that if anything, we "import hate" when we bother trying to weigh in on it. (multiple examples of assaults taking place from both sides in multiple western countries detached from the conflict, for example) It's made worse by the fact that even if you try to comment to get people to calm down and acknowledge faults from both sides, you basically cannot without people trying to put you in a box with one side or another before vilifying you.

Having said that:

From what I've seen of the hospital bombing, the photos I've found all show a parking lot with both a blast radius and property damage too small to be a serious bomb, and definitely too small to kill hundreds of people. This suggests a misfire from Hamas/PIJ rather than Israel, because if it were Israel, they could level the building easily. As I said, could be mistaken, but when I try to find photos of the event, this is all I find. I accidentally stumbled upon this because a combat vet I follow for Ukraine news covered the evidence and broke down how the blast radius and intact condition of the surrounding buildings makes it impossible to imagine so many people dying to it. I'm inclined to trust this because I got this from a neutral source that just tries to provide his input on which way he thinks a conflict will unfold strategically, NOT to provide political opinion. He spoke on this because he found the evidence so jarringly inadequate for the claim, not out of any allegiance or bias to any side.

I would think that if this were a clever, calculating propaganda machine behind Hasan's actions, they'd KNOW this is a losing fight, no? You pick your battles if you're smart and show more tact...which Hasan doesn't do. He was loudly out there screaming about Israel bombing a hospital the moment it was announced, but as time goes on, the evidence I've seen suggests this is highly improbable.

Hell, the clips linked of Hasan flipping out over the Sam Hyde fight imply the same: this man is genuinely just a tremendous idiot. There's some degree of correlation between aggression/violence and stupidity, and Hasan shows this in spades. Dude loses his shit all the time and starts screaming tirades when faced by his opposition. A part of him MUST know what kind of shit will make the internet mad at him, yet he periodically loses all control and says something he shouldn't, time and time again, solely because he can't control his anger... and even THEN he struggles to (truly) admit he was wrong after. He also seems visually and audibly out of place when debating Ethan, perhaps precisely because he knows he can't act that way with someone he considers a friend.

If anything, Hasan is a very depressing wake-up call that often it's NOT some conspiring mastermind behind misinformation, but rather tribalist idiots that are too eager to exonerate their side whilst sticking to any point that makes their side look good/the other side look bad.

No one ever said anything about clever. He's borderline retarded, but he engages with calculated bad faith that he has found works for him. He's been working in media for almost a decade now, even his shriveled cockroach brain has figured out that he can avoid responding to questions that he can't answer by acting outraged or dismissing them as absurd. Even he could see, through finasteride haze, that if he yelled loudly and acted outraged people wouldn't push back too hard.

You could really see this in his bullying of Ethan, that wasn't the behavior of a dumb man with poorly-thought-out opinions, that was a man who wanted to shame someone weak for questioning him and put him in his place.

Hasan is stupid, but that's not the main reason he acts the way he does.

Semantics, I guess. I would personally still call that stupid behavior, because to me, that's someone who didn't stop to ask themselves "Why am I doing this" or what the purpose of the discussion is (aka there is value in being taught something or seeing evidence contrary to what you thought) and is so hyper-fixated on "winning" that they've lost sight of everything else.

Guess the best way to summarize it would be the man is constantly looking for working solutions to the wrong problems.

Hasan "I'm a propagandist" Piker just threw out random stats and (often highly incorrect) facts he read somewhere, parroted weird leftist/mental gymnast equivocations, and refused to answer any of Piers's questions or really even attempt to engage him directly. Piers was clearly making a lot of effort to cement common ground and to then push for agreement that the terrorist attacks on the 7th were horrific. Hasan did put out the solution to solve the whole thing that no one's ever thought of before: let all the Palestinians in and give them everything and there will totally be peace! Nobel peace prize incoming, I'm sure.
