Most of the time those men will find a step-mother who does fill the role of mom for those children. They seem to socialize just fine.
Women are definitely more gracious towards any child and seem to accept a man with kids. Meanwhile a man will not do the same for a single mom.

I know of a couple, the man has a daughter, but the mother is distant so the man became the sole provider. He got married and his wife is loving his daughter as well and she even made a vow (during the wedding) to the girl to support her and love her.

Second example similar circumstances but the mother of the children was drug addicted and the state removed custody from the her. The man remarried, wife loves the child just as much as her own, and they’re being pretty successful in life.

Men and women offer complementary but vastly divergent parenting styles. Mothers are caring, cautious, and empathetic for their children. Fathers push their children hard to succeed and allow them to explore greater independence/risk.

Ideally, children go on crazy adventures with their father, where they’ll get boo-boos, make mistakes, and also have small victories. When they come home, mommy will kiss them better and give them a big hug to let them know they’re safe. Since the child of a single mother struggles with independence, I speculate that children of single fathers would be cold and distant.
