And like, the shit about natives being "torn" from their culture when all that's left of it is a handful of small traditions? Who's tearing them from that? They aren't living in teepees and hunting buffalo for their next meal. Also, some cultures and societies change or die, get over it. There's a lot of things like that in the world that used to exist and died out. It just happens.

Technically LaBelle himself claims he doesn't have gender dysphoria and that "transgender" is just his gender, so he's distancing himself from the LGBT community very well on his own.

If someone tells you don't deserve health care, they're not you're friend because they're nutcases, not because they disagree with you. Using a strawman to make this statement seem valid and later putting anyone you want in the haram box is just too easy.

Nice to see that horseshoe theory in action again, considering that this toes the line to this all being choices that a person can make; a common piece of rhetoric from fundies who hate the LGBT community. If that's truly the case, then I have even less respect then since that means you can decide to not be attention seeking hosers that badly wear girl's clothing.

Oddly enough, many of the commenters insist it's a choice. Most of the debate is just over at what age the choice was made.

Most aspects of the social justice warrior crowd are pathetic rather than a threat but the anti science attitudes among these people are an exception. This kind of nonsense cannot be allowed to gain prominence in society.

Is that why he's invited to speak at LGBT panels in multiple countries? It would seem to me that his ideas are very welcome indeed in sizable sections of the community.
