‘Align’ is probably the wrong word - it suggests that we have to pick a side and make concessions. The good thing about Rekieta, as I understood it, was he was a fellow traveller who was in the same position as we were - seeking the freedom to be allowed to speak their mind without censorship and obstruction by hypersensitive mob rule. The fact that he was a lawyer and was in a position to assist with practical matters was incidental (and something Null maintains he’s grateful for).

Actually this is something close to my story with Nick. I'm going to try and avoid getting too political here but it's important to the topic so sorry in advance.

Nick seemed like he knew what was going on and had the power to start putting an end to it, especially after being dubbed Law Pope over the Rittenhouse case. Nick had potential to be a powerful ally and champion. It was a white pill. For the first time, it seemed like Nick had an armada of legal experts who'd be perfect for assisting in reasonable change to the country. Anybody right of center will complain that the system is full of shyster lawyers with zero backbone. The best we'd get are a Tom Fitton or Robert Barnes.

But In my foolishly optimistic eyes, Nick was different. He had the potential to be a strong advocate for decent lawyers if not be one himself. The system is broken? Parts of it need change? He had the invested audience and probably influence. If Nick wanted to, in his heyday he could have helped build an army of Constitutionalist soldiers to help against the major cultural and legal decay that is leftist lawfare... Nahh. How about sit and bitch about it while drinking and doing fuck and all about it. None of these fucking weirdoes except Robert Barnes ever put his money where his mouth is. And that right there was my sobering epiphany: Nick is just another fake ass grifter.

This is my issue with the MAGA movement, GOP, Comicsgate, Gamergate and now Lawtube. All this whining about woke people and no impetus to do anything other than bitch about it on the internet.
