Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

I'm surprised they are still wasting strength on pointless offensive strikes. Bet the Russians can't believe their luck
It wasn't even an offensive strike. They landed on a beach, planted a flag, had a photoshoot and buggered off. Then got blasted to bits next week when they tried to repeat the PR move.

Many of the Ukrainian moves, especially the ones involving flashy Western equipment, were carried out to be morale boosters. Ukraine also had a much stronger media and Internet presence since the first days of the war, running circles around the clumsy official statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense and shaping the narrative the way they saw fit, which is why so many American boomers still believe they only need another week and just a few more gibs to drag Putin out of the Kremlin and hang him from the nearest lamppost.

Zelensky should challange Bibi to the ancient jew-jitsu ritual of a Snoz-off. They would duel by poking each other with their noses for all the US taxpayer gibsmuh.

Honestly I don't know who's more retarded, boomers or zoomers. Ever since the setup of elastic defenses during operations in Ukraine, the drunken sub-80 IQ morons in charge of their military can barely capture a village or two even with the world throwing money and allegedly "better" western weapons at a corrupt country that can't even keep the smarter portion of its male population from fleeing to avoid becoming cannon fodder.

Granted, Putin probably should be dragged out of the Kremlin and beaten with shoes and clubs then publicly executed, but I don't hold much esteem for politicians overall.

Why CNN decided to publish this so late is beyond me.
Probably because everyone would forget the actual details of what happened. A bunch of fools rode Jet Skis across the black sea, landed in the surf, raised a flag for a photo op and then supposedly had to run for their lives. There was no military objective to the operation and the indications were that there was significant loss of life.
Stories about Crimea in the western media are important because Zelensky is obsessed with taking it at any cost and his funders in the west have been far from certain that is a good objective.

Zelensky's going to make out like a bandit no matter what happens to Ukraine. $100 billion can buy a lot of ocean front property.

Crimea's been the focus from the get-go. Russia invaded not long after news broke that Ukraine was preparing an invasion of Crimea.

I don't see Zelensky being allowed to live without a victory, and by their own standards, the only win condition is returning Ukraine to its 2014 borders. He's too big a liability with his direct knowledge all the US politician's kids that end up making millions of dollars there. Win and be a puppet for life, or lose and have an unfortunate helicopter accident.

I find it hilarious that they're even entertaining the idea of going to their 2014 borders when they can't even break the defensive line of an incompetent drunk as fuck Slav military on their own territory.

Putin is one of the few politicians that actually saved his country.
If Yeltsin's successor actually acted like a WEF young leader, Russia would be doomed.

Despite ambitions to become a world power once again, it's a country with a lot of problems. Russia tends to favor more authoritarian leadership for some reason also, but at least they're not importing half the Middle East along with Europe.

That's because, unfortunately, historically having an authoritarian leadership has been the only consistently effective way to tard wrangle a massive and far spread country like Russia and give it something resembling functioning governance.

Things like alcoholism, Afghan heroin, and a shrinking population aren't going to leave much to govern past a certain point in time.

Big, if true...

Scoop: U.S. to send Israel artillery shells initially designated for Ukraine (Link is to the KF A&N subforum)
The Pentagon plans to send Israel tens of thousands of 155mm artillery shells that had been designated for Ukraine from U.S. emergency stocks several months ago, three Israeli officials with knowledge of the situation tell Axios.

Why it matters: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli ministry of defense told their U.S. counterparts they urgently need artillery shells to prepare for a ground invasion in Gaza — and a potential escalation of the war by Hezbollah along the Israel-Lebanon border, Israeli officials say.

Something in the genes, we are literally incapable of being productive unless someone higher up orders it and prone to loafing around. Hell, one of the most well known folk tales is about a guy who was laying about on a stove (traditional Russia fireplace in rural homes) until his 30s.
