Least you could do is link it.The video was re-recommended to me today and I realize I'm a retard: the title I remember was in the thumbnail image itself.
Still, though.

It's not that great. It's from someone named Aydin Paladin and I don't like her delivery.Least you could do is link it.
Oh, ok. NevermindAydin Paladin
I hate it when YouTubers do that. I'm certain there's some algorithm reason for doing it, but it makes finding/understanding video content needlessly difficult (but nobody cares about good/practical design on the internet in current year). The video was re-recommended to me today and I realize I'm a retard: the title I remember was in the thumbnail image itself.

When you check out a channel and don't like the video, disliking it seems to prevent this issue. Tbh, I dislike videos that I don't even feel strongly about for the same reason.Yeah I've gotten stuck in the algorithm too, I watched a couple Scotty Kilmer videos about cars/automotive shit [that's basically all he makes, videos bitching about cars with clickbait titles] and decided "this guy is full of shit and doesn't know what he's talking about" but because I watched two or three of his videos he is forever in my recommended feed.
YouTube's search function has gotten more and more useless over time as well, half the time when I search for something I get results that have dick-all to do with my search query and shit I've already watched. If you do a search for any kind of crime content all you get is thirty-five second clips from news stations that tell you absolutely nothing you didn't already know.
They do it to game the youtube algorithm. And when they change both the title and thumbnail a few days to even a week after uploading, good fucking luck remembering if it's something you've watched or not when it gets recommended to you again.I hate it when YouTubers do that. Used to watch this guy in like, late 2016 and 2017. Actually made decent content back then but haven't bothered with him in a long time, he fell off hard very quickly. I think he deleted like half his videos from back then.I will be the put the channel Aztrosist, I used to watch him but I got bored. But I saw his video in my recommended feed and turns out he troon out.

My heart skipped a beat for a second, because I mistook the name for a Dark Souls 3 channel that I watched back in the day. Glad to see that's not the case. Though, it did remind me of Sinclair Lore, which was a Bloodborne-centric lore channel with a host who trooned out, so you've made me sad any way.I will be the put the channel Aztrosist, I used to watch him but I got bored. Many such cases. This is the result of terminally online idiots encouraging each other to form their entire identities around which group of people they like to fuck in which hole. This shit used to be considered TMI and deviant to share about yourself publicly and I long for those good times.Used to watch bigclivedotcom until he gradually started to insert more and more hints and mannerisms regarding his homosexuality, to the point of it becoming obnoxiously distracting. All I want to see is a damn electronics teardown with a mildly entertaining explanation, is it that much to ask?
There is a channel called it's Boris or life of Boris or something that did something similar. It's a guy in Russia who did Slav meme videos aimed at a western audience, mostly cringe but some of them were alright. Went full retard at the start of the conflict and put out a video about how much he hated Russia and Slava Ukulaili etc etc
Never touched politics except talking about German weapon laws, then does a virtue signal about the Ukraine war. OK, it's a contentious issue, everyone has their own opinion. Agree or disagree, whatever, but then he went full German. Gleefully admits he will delete any comments that don't agree with him. Lots of comments saying please don't get political, him replying for them to leave. Anyone who disagrees with him about this complex situation is a Putin lover, or a bot.
What happens if it's a channel I'm subbed to? Because the same fucking video I've already watched is in my feed every single time!Click those 3 dots on the side of the video in the recommendations and click "Don't recommend channel"
Then choose "Not Interested" it will give you two choices, "I've already watched the video" and "I don't like the video"Excessive uploading of shorts. I mainly watch with Roku-type devices, so uBlock, etc. aren't really an option to hide them.
YT finally seems to have gotten the message and is keeping them out of my feed, but I was merciless with the unsubsribe button for a good long while.

Honestly, this is a gripe I have with people I sub to. I see that they have a new upload, I get interested and the notification spoils that it's a short.Excessive uploading of shorts.
I generally don't mind shorts myself, as a couple of people I follow are reposting their content from the Chinese spyware ap. The videos that really piss me off are the rec feeds from fb. I keep getting spammed with mums with bubs or relationshit drama, which is maddening. And occasional pro troon shit too. I'm a member of maybe two communities that aren't selling, collecting, or rat, and I can't figure out why this shit keeps ending up on my feed.Honestly, this is a gripe I have with people I sub to. I get it makes money but ngl, I fucking hate shorts.
Just as much as I hate YouTube autosubscribing me to random people as well as recommending me random ass shit from literally whos with 5 views or something.

I hate this about modern technology in general. I won't say too much so as to not derail the thread, but this is a really pervasive problem that I hate and I wish there was a way to opt out of.Just fucking leave shit alone. They're constantly fucking with shit for absolutely no good reason.
