i will say, i don't have it entirely in my head and i'm making some pretty heavy assertions (not as heavy as pat, though). the two lawsuits against Quasi that backfired were the biggest part of it. he spent >$100,000, at least, of the SFWA's money and not only lost that, but owed just as much in fees. we have no idea what he paid his legal teams in every single court case, but that wouldn't be cheap either. i also factor in the countless other stupid-ass shit he's done, like paying thousands to get a lawyer to force twitter to unban him... a law firm he also felt the need to meet in person, which leads me to the next point: he has traveled a lot in his campaign against the stalker childs, and that's not fucking cheap. let's not forget his ultra-expensive phone he broke during the ludicrous swatting saga. there are a heap of costs, both major and minor, that he has incurred in this obsession with responding to the onaboards, to Robert Prongay and Mr. Softee, to working with the nationally accredited online threat hunter Jackie Singh... goodness.

i think he's burned $250,000 in his crusade, but i really do wonder if i'm underestimating it. in all likelihood, i am. most human beings underestimate his weight.
