Speaking of writing, that book ’A Little Life’ was trending. I guess someone made a viral post about some girl crying for days after reading it. I look this thing up, first thing I read is that it follows the lives of four homo men. Genuinely makes me sad women read this shit. Popular fiction (fantasy, thriller, etc) - People have shit taste, simple as that. I know I sound hipster saying this, but typically if something has mass appeal, then it is playing with safe themes and tropes and appealing to lowest common denominator sentiments. There are exceptions but they are rare, and more often seen in film than prose.

Literary fiction - The unwashed masses mistake degenerate, mentally unstable, and amoral characters for "honest," upsetting subject material as "deep," homosexual or bi-curious men as "boundary-pushing." It's sickening. Every lauded piece of contemporary literary fiction that I've read has been so incredibly up it's own ass and starring the most repulsive characters. Recently read The Secret History and holy shit talk about a bait and switch. Talk about absolutely psychotic, delusional characters. The only compliment I can give is that the line-by-line writing is often quite good.

I used to like clubs. Not those types of clubs (except for those times when it's 4am and you don't wanna go home and they're the last ones still open), but clubs with proper DJs that play their own tracks or their own mixes of good music that you can dance to for hours.. but now all the good clubs in my city are full of trannies and have swapped the bathroom signs to unisex. Its such a shame.

I've been in a relationship for years now but there was a time when part of the draw was to find someone to fuck. When I was 18 and had rock bottom self esteem. Thank god my brain developed beyond the sludgy mess it was that stage in my life now. Fucking cringe. Ugh.
