Pokemon X/Y is literally a straight line. You just go from Route N to Route N+1, stopping at every city in between. Plot gates block you everywhere else, and if you need to do something other than "go in the direction of the place you haven't been yet", the game explicitly tells you so

Its even funnier Wu is complaining specifically about X/Y considering that version has the troupe of children who follow you around from the very beginning of the game, and whenever there is a moment that you might have to wander, or figure out what's next on your own, they show up and are like " Hey Man! Why not go to [x] town and do [y] thing?! *dances away*"

So she must've never even played the game.

It's pretty funny that professional journalist -- and inveterate racist -- Flynt/Wu calls someone born in Iowa a "Nigerian," what with niger (Latin for black) being the root word for both Nigeria and the n-word that Flynt/Wu likes to toss around. Jemisin is a darling of the Social Justice Warriors because she demands that white people must apologize to her for wrongs done to her ancestors and must also pay her "reparations," something the SJWs are actually doing to the tune of $60,000 a year on Patreon. Not that she will ever make it but on the off chance someone in the states should definitely get it trademarked. We can then make a TWINE game, put it on Greenlight and release it before Wu can even begin work on her next game.

To everyone who is shocked by Johnny struggling with Pokemon, remember that he also thought assembling a pre designed computer was something a major techie could do, even though it's more or less just like one of those "this shape goes in this hole" puzzles for adults. She's like Chris in that because she's such an arrogant asshole with no life experience, she believes that if she struggles with it and she's a genius, then this thing must truly be a feat only a select few are capable of.

As for the "learning curve" with type matchups with Pokemon, while I haven't played in years I seem to remember at each gym there's a NPC at the start that explains the weaknesses of that gym leader's preferred type in detail in every single game. Wu is just struggling to keep up this new famgled Pokemanz that those blasted kids are always yammering about, it's natural for someone her age.

It's pretty obvious where Wu is coming from; Revolution 60 is designed so that you ARE going to play as Wu intended, even the story "choices" are merely variables that Wu has allowed. Pokemon, which despite what Wu stated, is ultimately linear, still has too much freedom...you aren't railroaded from one cutscene to the next, thus allowing too much "Fun".

Did you forget already that the Social Justice Cult has declared that allowing the player to make their own choices is haram? It might cause the player to lapse into sinful behaviour such as

• playing first-person shooters
• beating up female characters
• killing NPCs
• having fun
• not playing games that revolve around lesbians with "hella" terrible dialogue

Another thing with Wu/Flynt is that they come from old money. Stupidly rich old money with parents who have large influence with politics and even tolerated their son's young adult shenanigans that cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars in vain to try and make him socially functional. Frank's job pretty much fills the gap of money source when Flynt's parents probably cut him off.

And then there's Shedinja. 1 HP but goddamn I still can't recall what actually damages it - I cheated and used Jirachi's (had a friend with a game shark during elementary school) special Doom Desire (a.k.a. the 'God lasers from the sky Fuck-You instant win button') attack against those fuckers. But Wu probably doesn't even understand legendary types from mega evolutions.
