I'm playing as Luigi and it sounds fine. The talking flowers I muted since the voice was that of a pedophile and I prefered silence over other languages. Such a creepy thing to add.

I'd get it if the game was literally about like Mario and friends traveling the Mushroom Kingdom in search of kids to groom, but some fucking VA having they/them pronouns on their Twitter bio? Idk how some people are even able to enjoy any media with this lens. It's a fun baby game, lighten up.

Have you seen the localization changes in Nintendo games? Hm, I wonder if it could be a bad thing if more and more of Nintendo, from localizers to actors are becoming woke, SURELY it won't spread to marketing and then influence the developers, right? Cancer always stops at a certain point!

That's fair and I agree with the thing with localizers having an agenda being an issue. I just don't think we're going to see mario say "trans rights" any time soon. "The woke mob" begins and ends in western culture though. I just don't see Nintendo getting posloaded to critical levels and I fuckin can't stand seeing ppl dunk on troons losing their minds over hogwarts legacy then immediately doing the exact same things when the inverse happens.

I hear you. We probably won't see Mario say "trans rights" in an official capacity anytime soon, but it probably will come. Japan is not fully invulnerable to Wokeism and there's more and more cracks showing with Nintendo over time. Their earliest knee-bending started nearly a decade ago, and though they're holding out remarkably well given the state of the gaming, there's been many more concessions and changes towards "progressivism".

Nintendo's will be a death by 1,000 cuts, and this is just another cut.

There's only a superficial comparison there at a very, very surface level if you squint real hard. There's a big difference between trannies being mad because of people believing in biology VS people being mad about a pedophilic sex cult that denies biology. You can never be too opposed to transgenderism.

They got some goofy MKUltra shit going on between the jump sound, drug-world power-ups, decimal-point coins, furry references, and flowers saying how heccin valid you are and how Kiwi Farms is "le most ebil" every time you run past. Some real Gachachurian Candidate shit for the youth. This has to be the easiest Mario game ever made. I wanted a Wario Land 5 before I started playing this, but now...sheeit, I don't even want to imagine how they'd fuck that up.

Toad transitions into a Flower Kingdom...thing if you get the all-exits, all-secrets ending. The whole nine yards: pills, injections, surgery, follow-up therapy, petal stretching. The cutscenes are a real trip. Maybe that's why they put in all the drug shit, to get people numb before the big reveal.

Well, I've completed the game. Every level complete, every flagpole top hit where appropriate, every '10' flower coin collected, every wonder seed gathered, every badge pocketed, every standee acquired. 6/6 medals. What was the final reward? You get some sparkles underneath your feet when you're running around the overworld. The only two levels that gave me any trouble were the "Climb to the Beat" special world and the "Final Final" challenge in special world where your active badge changes each time you enter a new segment.

Edit: I was wrong about those sparkles. The real reward was a new title screen. The only thing that changes is that the white scrolling background on the bottom and right side of the title card turns black. Basically, you've unlocked the night theme. Other players will also see you've obtained 6 medals if you're playing online. That's if you have any reason to continue playing,

I've dealt with this issue by changing the flower voice language to Traditional Chinese and pretending that the flowers speak their own language.
