I don't know if it bears explaining why he's wrong that it "doesn't matter," but food you swallow is only in your system to be broken down and digested for a finite amount of time before you pass it in feces and your body cannot break it down with stomach enzymes and acids as well as it can with your teeth. Also, yes, blending foods typically does make it easier to absorb the nutrients in the food Adam. Very good, you figured it out, but you said it as if it was absurd and therefore wrong.

If he just said that it's a thing he does without really thinking about it, most people would find it weird and simply move on. But this shit is what separates Adam from having a more innocuous off-topic thread in multimedia vs having a fully dedicated lolcow thread: He's incredibly fixated on trying to correct everyone around him and present his viewpoint as objectively true. Once in a while it's been very on-point in his reviews, such as his longwinded explanation of how people had parroted a complete lie involving Disney's The Lion King being a direct ripoff of Kimba the White Lion, despite nobody else actually watching Kimba. Credit where credit is due, he's capable of putting together some very well reasoned points when he can back it up in his edited videos.

However, on streams he comes off like he has a bit of a superiority complex where he acts flabbergasted when someone in chat disagrees on a certain point, only to then pull a "Ummm, Actually..." It was already bad enough with the weird bestiality "animals can consent" topic being contended, and now he's trying to rationalize why this odd behavior isn't an issue at all.

I think #2 is the most likely. Eating disorders are extremely common among gay men because they want to look like a certain aesthetic that ties directly into some kind of fetish (IE: Twinks, bears, etc). It's pretty clear Adam did that in his early years in an attempt to get attention from other gay men. And he likely picked up an extremely negative self image in the process.

Adam's gaming channel should've ended a very long time ago. He only started it because of the 2010s era trend of Youtube creators doing gaming channels after Amnesia and Minecraft blew up. The trend died because of massive oversaturation. After more and more creators got involved, creators started to have to compete significantly more in that space for attention. Adam really hasn't. His approach to his gaming channel is just "here's that movie reviewer guy playing video games". Which was novel in 2012 when he started but just dull nowadays. His continuous throwing good money at bad money is really a sign that he needs some kind of producer. He needs someone to handle the actual business side of his business because he has shown that he doesn't know how to do that very well.

I found his takes regarding the updated music in the Lion King 2019 remake to be a bit overblown, though I'm neither knowledgeable nor as passionate about the subject, so it's something I'm usually willing to overlook in his reviews. Hell, even if I do disagree with Adam on certain points or dislike some of his takes, I can at least sit through his videos from start to finish as he at least knows how to try and entertain his viewers. Same can't be said for someone like Jim Sterling, who's gone completely off the deep-end by obsessively covering all discourse surrounding gender identity and sexuality in gaming to the point of it being flat out uncomfortable to watch – particularly with some of the gross fetish and sexual content that gets shoehorned in. I'm getting a bit off topic, but my point is that I hope Adam doesn't become absolutely unbearable to watch in his YMS vids.

I have a small theory on what might be happening to Adam’s stomach.

I recently had bariatric sleeve surgery on my stomach because I’m a fatass that used to eat ALOT. When I had my stomach scanned for any issues before the surgery, turned out I had a Hiatal Hernia in my diaphragm.

A basic summary: “A hiatal hernia happens when the top of your stomach bulges through an opening in your diaphragm. This is a very common condition, especially as you get older. It doesn’t always cause symptoms, but when it does, they’re usually related to acid reflux.”

Keep in mind that you can’t feel a hiatal hernia and I chew my food. It’s treatable and a lot of people usually find out about this when you’ve gotta have surgery on your stomach.

I’m not a doctor but Adam’s diaphragm has to be the size of a balloon at this point. It would probably explain why he can vomit on command, his top stomach opening is probably weak from pushing unchewed food through that small opening.

I don't watch YMS trailer reacts anymore because at least 50% of it is just going to be 4k rambling. It's actually very rare for Adum to react to any content of the trailer in his trailer reactions.

It's like how he refuses to watch a movie if he's not invested after 30 minutes. It's like if something doesn't engage his autism he physically cannot force himself to do anything with it. He is constantly getting himself into trouble over things he refuses to do his due dilligence on. We know he's capable of thorough research because he got sidetracked into watching anything and everything Kimba as an aside to his also thoroughly-researched Lion King review. For decades people just assumed Disney ripped this anime the fuck off because of lazy video essayists, and thanks to Adum people can now decisively say "that is not true, this 2-hour long video disproves it with agonizing detail." But he won't watch anything of Critical Drinker aside from a Russel-fucking-Brand interview that's shoved in front of him by his sychophants. He can't bear to watch episode 3 of Arcane when all of his contemporaries agree that is the episode where things pick up. He can't be fucked to study music even though he is massively invested in how music is used. I get the feeling no one ever forced YMS to "eat his vegetables" while he was growing up, and now he finds it completely acceptable to just walk away from a thing the exact nanosecond he finds it taxing. I fucking wish the hardest thing in my life was forcing myself to watch media I am mildly disinterested in. What a charmed life he gets to live.

I've heard him say that enough times in clips of him editing that I am 100% certain you can find him saying that if you go looking for it.

He's way too fixated on hating films that use non-diegetic music. He fawns over the scene in the Sixth Sense where M. Night Shyamalan famously said "the emotion was already there, we didn't need music," or Like Someone in Love which only uses non-diegetic music at the very beginning and end by playing the Bill Evans song it's named after.

You don't have to make films to be a decent film critic but you need to understand filmmaking. Hating on a film for using conventions is missing the plot.

A lot of that comes off as this weird thing he does where he describes how people can act a certain way or people have certain habits, but it's all stated in a way where it comes off like he's observing this from some enlightened position and he never succumbs to those biases. It's a very reddit atheist "you're not slipping this past me, GOD!" kind of attitude, and he's very insufferable when he starts talking about things like that, like when Mauler asked Adum if he would have any questions for Drinker and Adum basically said he didn't trust Drinker to give him an honest response because people will change their answers if they're being scrutinized.

It's the same broke part of his brain that has to say stupid shit like, "I find it weird that it's ok to kill animals, but not fuck them. People will say it's ok to kill and eat animals, but not have sex with them. No I don't fuck animals, I just find it hypocritical."
