Maybe it will sooner than that especially with all the troon shit sending csam around. Maybe I am too optimistic about it but with human traffic findings on major porn uploader sites, CSAM being sent around and grooming that is happening on Discord and life being ruined on only fans / other cam whores sites could be a sign of it hitting a breaking point and something should be done about it.

These incidences do not really matter for the most part. Sadly, grooming children and the other sick shit has been around for a pretty long time now, far longer than any of our lifespans. What typically brings about change is a massive public scandal, and politicians seeing it as a way to represent/pander the electorate, thus actual real changes occur.

I think some people realise this, and are trying to break exposures and the like, in order to kick off a bigger interest with a hope to change things. Issue is people likely do not care right now, bigger issues like the economy sinking into shit, two major wars ongoing. This is before we talk about a general apathy and resentment towards the elite for all manner of reasons. Neither the wokie or the Nazi are happy right now, everyone is pissed. Sadly, that means porn is down the list. (My personal, Adolf Super Hiter attitude to road laws is never going to get a look in, no one ever cares)

Like trying to get a being event that leads to change in the mainstream mind about and causes for a change may be the deep fakes / AI porn buts that's really it (in the form of getting the governments to start cracking down).
I forgot about this point but nearly all people think porn/sex work is gross they do not think highly of those people. As you mentioned there are other things going on and people seeing something bad happening with porn they'll think is gross or who cares they are whores. But also we live now in a world that wants small bursts of pleasure which its not helping.

That would just lead to a government crackdown on AI. And if the government's attempts to regulate AI are anything like its attempts to regulate the internet, it will be a disaster.

Very shortly after, sex mod dev handed all of his assets over to this "girl"(?) who picked up development immediately and seems to have added quite a lot in a surprisingly short amount of time and on what seems to be a much larger scale than the previous dev.
This brings us to current day and the thing which made me want to write this post in the first place.
The mod has been released and requires a constant internet connection and for you to join the mods discord and upload in image of your ID for age verification.

That's right, this random Minecraft sex mod has always online DRM that requires you to be whitelisted wiht an uploaded image of your photo ID to some random degen's discord server which I'm sure works flawlessly and would never ever backfire.
I believe the previous dev also tried to add his own DRM to some releases of the mod.

As of right now, the ID verification process and DRM has been temporarily disabled due to a very high volume of requests to their discord bot which threw the switch on some anti spam measures on Discord apparently.

I just find this whole situation to be sort of fascinating and horrifying, especially with the recent changes to the Minecraft ToS.
I'm sure if that list of IDs were to leak, Mojang would ban anyone they could get their hands on, let alone the laundry list of other reasons why sharing your real life state ID with a Minecraft sex modder might be a terrible idea.
I also can't believe that so many people are actually going along with it, but then again these are a breed of coomer who are specifically trying to play a Minecraft sex mod so how surprised can I really be.
