One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

I just find it insane that the obsessive leftists who don't watch or read One Piece latch onto Yamato so hard when she is certifiably not a male (by her own words) when Okiku is right there. Well, I guess they don't focus on Okiku because they don't watch or read One Piece. They're just obsessive coomers.

They've fetishized fetishizing someone to be trans. Low hanging fruit doesn't cut it, they want to take the tomboy who wants to be her hero and want her to literally want to be a man. That's the fun part of fandom to them. Forcing a square peg into a round hole. Same instinct that informs all the shippers taking two hetero characters and pretending it's so obvious they are gay for each other.

Yamato is a fangirl taken up to eleven, a stealth parody of the women who have totally believed similar things, and none of the insane people Oda is making fun of got the joke. (Actually, how many pooners have seen her as a spirit animal, now that I think about it?)

At the end of the day, Yamato's character development will be finding her real self-worth as a woman, and the trannies will seethe some more and pretend otherwise, especially if she ends up a mother. They're all still in denial over official databook and art that clearly tells everyone she's 100% female because they want to be an IRL anime girl.

Meanwhile I remember discussion about what Ivankov's true gender may be, and how literally everyone agreed it didn't really matter since Ivankov is Ivankov. It honestly would've been funny if he was biologically female, but it's a no duh moment he's just a loony guy just like Frank N. Furter he was based off of.

Saw another one of the articles where they talk about how Netflix Nami's costume was meant to show off her nurturing side.

"Nami was, in a way, the big sister," Cilliers said. "Instead of being in any way elaborate or flaunting herself, she was not that kind of character at all. She was nurturing everyone around her."
Strange how a character with much more complicated motivations in the source material gets rolled back to what many would consider a stereotypical female role of being "nurturing" under the hands of progressive show runners.

I remain pissed that both Nami and Usopp got essentially shafted in the live action with a pretence that was not the case and the Netflix mob along with their critic/journoscum enablers are still sat there going "noooo, we made them better." Go cleanse Magellan's toilet with your tongues.

Thing is she very much was that in the anime and manga, Oda just put her in more costumes. And considering his wife, I bet he’s happy he makes that choice routinely.

You know he’s just got a closet with every single one…

I wouldn't have called her nurturing initially. Justifiably so given her objectives but that more came out after she was somewhat more unburdened.

Also on the topic of live action the sources trying to get Jamie Lee Kurtis as Doctor Kureha continue to show they're unfit to make these suggestions.

  • Curtis's versatility as an actress, seen in her various roles throughout her career, makes her a perfect fit for the villainous character of Dr. Kureha.
I'd call her abrasive at times but villainous is incorrect.

So Gloriosa Queen of Amazon Lily was on Rocks crew. Given that there seems to be a trend with Amazon Liki rulers falling for someone on the crew of the person that wants to be King, I am putting even more stocks in Lili/Imu as be a thing that was a thing.

Rest of the chapter is just obvious setup for God Valley flashback, it’s what we all know and expect. Kuma eats his fruit to escape Big Mom. Jinny and Invan end up in Kuma country with him so likely Bonny mom or Bonny clone base

There's a theory going round that the Amazon Queen in between Gloriosa and Handcock is Luffy's mother

So the CD nicked the most important thing of Pirate Island and Shanks just so happens to be in a chest…

In all seriousness they likely stole the Dragon Fruit. Hence why Big Mom guns for it straight away.

I like the fact that Kong’s like ‘yeah, we can handle Rocks easy. It’s Roger we have the problem with’

And Garp’s just shits himself.
