Remi and Xelzaz are probably the best the modding community has for followers. If you want a cringey, don't-cut-yourself-with-that-edge, British follower I present to you Daegon Kaekiri. The mod author is also a "singer" that makes shitty zoomer pop music.
Shit is hitting the fan with Kukielle's Dageon mod. From the little I read the 2.0 version of the mod made her even edgier and gave her boyfriend, Kaeserius who is as cringe and edgy as her. They've were designed so they are always together, so if you still want Daegon you must have Kaeserius tag along. Pissing off those who headcanoned her as their waifu and those who don't want to be the third wheel on their adventure. So, obviously, the logical thing for the players who hate 2.0 would be to go back to the previous version, right? Can't, Kukielle removed it. She's also deleting and comments who are critical of the update and the direction she's going with it.

I personally never liked the whole "Chosen One" thing going on in Skyrim/Morrowind
Even Morrowind leaves enough there to question if you were actually the chosen one or just mantled Nerevar out of sheer force of will, though.

I do kind of hope that if the next game does take place in/around Hammerfell, and it does in fact bring about Sword Singing, it's just something that you can choose to learn and not some god given gift.

It's Mjoll and Aerin all over again, but just cringe.

I prefer being some random asshole who goes from nothing to being a hero.

Hence why The Hero of Kvatch is my favorite protagonist, he's just some guy, there's nothing special about him. He's whoever the fuck I want him to be.
Yeah nothing special about him other than the fact that without him literally nothing gets done. Sure Martin ends up saving the day at the very end, but it's us who close all the important Gates, get the amulet to him, are singled out by the Emperor cause he "saw us in a dream" etc. Sounds pretty Chosen to me.

Game mechanics aside, Oblivion suffers from the same general "chosen one/nothing could possibly get done without you" issue basically every game of this nature has.

Yeah, that's pretty true.

I suppose I could've phrased my original post better lol.

Dragonborn and Nerevarine were from birth the Chosen Ones (if you believe the Nerevarine is Nerevar). Dragonborn was destined to fight Alduin. And Nerevar was destined to fight Dagoth/The Tribunal, and save Resdayn/Morrowind.

To me, it felt more like The Hero was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He's some guy who was dragged into the Oblivion Crisis at the last minute, perhaps by the Gods. If he wasn't arrested, maybe some other asshole could've been in that cell and become The Hero. Maybe the Emperor had his dreams between The Hero's imprisonment and the assassinations.
But anyways, that's my sperging.

And yeah, I agree with your point on "nothing can be done without the player's involvement". Can't some other asshole solve the Crisis while I drink skooma in the Bravil traphouse?

The shit has already hit the fan and splattered all over her e-girl streamer room. She managed to lose 50 patreon supporters in a couple of months and now has to go back to making twitch emotes for cash. She's also working on a new follower that you can romance and is stand alone but I doubt that will ever come out. I was researching her when all this went down for a potential effort post or thread but there isn't much lolcow potential, she's just a fake gamer girl who used to do thirst streams. I'm fairly certain she never did any of the creation kit work for Daegon because she's never answered any troubleshooting questions and relies on a simp Nexus user to handle those questions. If anyone wants to look into her more she uses the same username for everything so she's incredibly easy to research.

The only protags in the series who aren't really The Chosen One are the Eternal Champion, who may or may not be called Talin depending on which part of the game/manual you listen to, and the Blades Agent, who is only The Chosen One in the sense that the Emperor chose him for the mission into Daggerfall.

I don't know how much it actually changes depending on your background and such, but I always liked how the pre generated background in Daggerfall basically made it out that you were just some random asshole the Emperor sent on some grand mission.

I also really wish they wouldn't have cut Talin and the whole conspiracy questline out of Oblivion. Kirkbride made it sound really cool.

Nah, Hero of Kvatch isn't a Chosen One neither.
In that game was Martin Septim the protagonist of the main quest. He died well. Like always Sean Bean in all the media he appears.

I had been cautiously optimistic for Starfield for a time following the reveal that it was going to be more RPG than Fallout 4, but the woke faggotry and God awful technical state has pretty much killed any interest I might have had.

I would say the closest Bethesda ever came to making a city feel large and appropriately lived in was The Imperial City back in Oblivion. They COULD do it by separating the cities into various districts but Bethesda is allergic to that kind of work because people expect actual content in population zones. Fallout 4 has like 3 not faction aligned settlements because they realized dropping workbenches was easier.

Ah, he wasn't woke enough. They're going to replace him with a fat nigger troon because he likely has the cojones to tell them that ES isn't a woke liberal playground like DnD.
Isn’t he the one who wrote the whole Vivec fucks Molag Bal and bites his dick to destruction? If he’s not degenerate enough for their liking, I fear we’re gonna see some troon like Goon Clown getting hired.

How long until Bethesda add a sex-change spell to TES VI?

Created by a Redguard John Money, who is widely celebrated across Tamriel for being the first farm tool minority in The Summerset Isles to make such a worthwhile advancement to magic.

There is troon magic in TESO, you bet it will be brought back for TESVI
