Lol. I remember the inner beauty push thing from when I was a kid. Life experience has shown there's almost zero correlation.

It just so happened that the most bitter and self loathing ones were uggos and fatties. Maybe its misery cause they lost the genetic lottery.

Also, it does need to be said, making the most of natural beauty takes a bit of work and it takes discipline to either burn off calories or not stuff your face, so I don't think a pursuit of beauty is inherently a sign of airheadedness.
