Hey Christians, let's do a theology debate. User @Save the Loli thinks Jesus stole the idea for Christianity from Buddhists. Agree or disagree?

User @Save the Loli believes Christianity was created when people like Jesus and Paul stole their ideas from Buddhists in the Middle East. Frankly, I spent several pages arguing this was wrong in another thread, but @Save the Loli assured me I'm the dumb one for not believing that his point of view is truth and he's the only one to figure this out in the history of religous study and schollarship. I'm curious to see what others say esepecially Chrsitian users and people who have stuided history. Do we have Buddhists to thank for Christianity or is this idea retarded?

It would be literally impossible to prove. The hypothesis is technically possible, and it's impossible to prove a negative, but I don't know why anyone would really care. I choose to believe that the Christ Jesus was the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, conceived immaculately, and He died for our sins before being raised from the dead three days later.

Anyone is allowed to agree or disagree with any, all, or none of these points, just like I disagree with the proposed Buddhism hypothesis, but I'm not upset that someone has a different religious opinion from mine, because I'm an adult.

Don't you believe Jesus was historical though? I'm pretty sure that's the scholarly consensus currently. So in that case, disproving the thesis based on the historical record could be done.

I think the theory is that they were in Alexandria at some point, but I don't think that was proven as happening at the time of Christ.

She apparently got mad enough to pretend to have a real life multiple times.
While not realizing how real life works. Like lunch breaks, sleep schedules, etc. etc.

Also she admitted to being a /pol/ rapefugee which supports this theory.
