For sure. Still, if its not legal complaints, what are the complaints even officially based on? They seem to be focusing on particular types of content in this case rather than the whole website, so understanding the nature of the complaints even if facetious would be a good idea.

Part of the problem is the personalities of a lot of the people involved.

Ages ago, when I was still active on Poa.st - and I think this was just after another one of KF's Tier 1 deplatformings/blackholings - I made reference to Ben Franklin's famous quote and said that Graf and other operators of "fringe" tech companies and websites should work together and pool resources with Josh and others in order to help strengthen and secure the "parallel" internet in order to protect themselves from the coming onslaught by the corporate oligarchs and governments/NGO's that wished to sanitize the world wide web of anything that didn't follow approved narratives, enforce certain standards of speech, or wasn't just some cookie-cutter corporate slop that ad companies could buy space on.

The sole response I got was some Poastie that dismissed the idea because "Kiwi Farms is a doxing site, we are not the same," and I believe some time shortly after that Graf defederated Kiwi Farms.cc and banned Null because he's a bitchy, menopausal manlet. The Poasties and their leader, rather than seeing the bigger issue of how what was happening to Josh was going to inevitably happen to them, just wanted to get the dumb Kiwi Farmers to fuck off so they could go back to their NJP and Lolicon circlejerk.

I figure that's a case for a number of these sites, where even though working with others in a similar boat would be the logical and realpolitik move to make, the owners/operators and userbase just don't care and only think "as long as it isn't happening to me, it doesn't matter."

The thing is, it doesn't even necessarily require them to unite or officially align their sites or services with one another, just make some kind of back channel network where they could work together and coordinate in coming up with ways to make sure they stay online or that they aren't deplatformed. Here’s another wacky idea, which may be more like science fiction at the moment. Make the content of the site decentralized using something like bittorrent but with realtime automatic updates. Then create some kind of coded system to present the content onto the site using the local data. None of the content ever exists on the site itself. The website is just a ‘presenter’ for content on everyone’s hard disks which happens to all be the same thing.
