like its one thing if an image or video is directly hosted on this site but if it is an archive link or embed of another site why not go after those places instead and cut out the middle man.

i just do not see the logic in blocking connections to this site when the original host site of the bad things still exists. its like how people like to call KF a doxxing site yet those websites that just outright tell anyone who knows your name every single place you have ever lived are more or less allowed to just exist.

@Null I know you're in no shortage of retarded ideas but here's another. In addition to the merch runs you could see if it's possible to have a continuous shop selling stickers. Specifically because it's easy to make a dozen small, forum-related designs and they're cheap so more kiwis can buy them and buy them regularly if there's a rotating stock. Might at least be worth doing a trial run to see how many packs you could sell at < $5, especially if they're advertised on the front page with a post explaining that finances are the biggest hurdle for the site to seek legal recourse.

Respectfully, I think Null’s work and my idea are different. Null is decentralizing the website itself, so that it can accessible by making it difficult to DDOS and block. My idea is more radical, in that the website doesn’t host any content whatsoever. It simply displays content a user has locally.

Here’s another wacky idea, which may be more like science fiction at the moment. Make the content of the site decentralized using something like bittorrent but with realtime automatic updates. Then create some kind of coded system to present the content onto the site using the local data. None of the content ever exists on the site itself. The website is just a ‘presenter’ for content on everyone’s hard disks which happens to all be the same thing.

The point is that KF is US legal and should be accessible to normal people in the US, without special tools.

Driving it underground is essentially victory.

Any of this nonsense can be mirrored on the "dark web" on shitty tor websites without difficulty. Making it available to at least some small degree has never been the hard problem we've trying to solve.

Making it legally accessible on the normal, open web to normies using ordinary web browsers was really what this site was trying to achieve.

If you've got a major ISP, pointing out to them that any site is available on Verizon but not available on your ISP is enough to motivate their network engineers. It should be, anyway.

I'm complaining to my ISP right now and I think they'll at least look into it, possibly pestering Cogent about it. We'll see.
