The guy's enough of a nightmare but if that Amazon higher up's connection to him holds up, this is going to be another disgusting web, seeing who else he's following. To anyone who was around for it, a question. I don't know how voting for usenet sections/sites really functioned, did it require some admin-level permission like through a host university, or whatever was considered a high level role? Or was this past that era of the service? I'm not enough of an oldfag to have been involved. Just makes me wonder how many worms like David were practically in charge of that early internet.

Just an additional side-note, for those keeping track. I was looking to see if I could find anything else about PetLust and see if anything would pop out to me (not dog fucking, more along the lines of looking if they ever had an article written, court docs of any kind, etc.)
Unfortunately from the time I spent I couldn't find anything, all results related just point you to other zoo sites which re-upload PetLust content as well as other content. I dig'd three of the sites and they were all shoved through DDoS protection from CloudFlare of course. Reminder that CloudFlare unapologetically hosts sites which disseminate media which is, in the US a federal crime to distribute, record/create; but we are the problem.

This company still exists. It has (supposedly) not dabbled in the illegal since 1979.
Color Climax also produced several hardcore bestiality films during this period, which were used in a bootleg compilation titled "Animal Farm". It was described by goons of the era as literally vomit inducing.
Bestiality wasn't illegal in the Netherlands until 2010. Petlust filmed some of its videos there. If there is a connection between Petlust or bestiality production and Color Climax it would show David as being even deeper involved in this.

I’ve been going through places like iafd (it’s a wannabe porn IMDB) which have “Animal Farm” and “Better Fucked than Fried” (also called “Color Climax Film 1276: Snake Fuckers”) listed as published and produced by Color Climax, two credited participants, “Eva” and “Ava” appear in both films.
Under BFTF theres a note which reads,

Which is interesting to say the very least.

I have a sneaking suspicion, because no matter where I look there seems to be videos in reference to “PetLust” but nothing seems accredited properly to a studio.
I am starting to suspect that when David is answering one commenter on the Reddit AMA that he describes his work as for a “vertically integrated production company” which immediately makes me think that PetLust could have been a small production house directly affiliated by Color Climax. Which would consistently follow with other pornographer’s business practices of setting up smaller companies that might get shutdown due to legal or financial issues, protecting the shell company (and assets, as in earnings and materials in some cases) as they are just the ones that sell what the production company makes.

This could be a reason why he immediately went from working for PetLust into Color Climax, given the seedy nature of the company, it’s hard to find good help and if there was a preexisting relationship between companies, it would follow that the emplyees would be absorbed upwards.

This is just my suspicions based on the timing, my knowledge of other happenings in the adult industry, and limited information available on PetLust.
