I've noticed more echo-chambery asspat comments even under the "controversial" tab of popular posts. I understand it's reddit, but there used to be more internet snark. I went into some of those subs and apparently a lot of them have "be kind" in the rules. Some are even no-no on constructive criticisms that sounds too harsh for a toddler. Examples from a few of the biggest subs.

In fairness it's not really constructive unless you actually provide feedback on how to improve. Women and troons who post are looking for tips on what to do differently and "ew that lipstick" is a worthless comment in that respect. But that doesn't change the fact that people have been reluctant to post actual cc there for years, and you're most likely to get "Oh my gosh you're so pretty!" comments that also aren't cc. Especially if the OP is black or another minority which guarantees the comments will be full of asspattery.

Also he managed to insert sperging about muh fascism. Anyway Library was partially destroyed multiple times over almost millenium it existed. Including Ceaser, Christian riots... But it survived. Until Arab (muslim) conquest. It was destroyed, by guy who was in charge of Egypt. And he said something along the lines. These books either contain same things as Koran so they are useless. Or they contain something else and that means they are dangerous.

Reddit is probably the site with the most grooming of any site. Also subreddits populated mostly by stories of how to fuck your daughter or dad and posts encouraging and coaching of how to make it happen, have a tendency to also attract some negative attention.

The reddit community at large does a far better job of contributing to the stigma against men speaking out against shitty women than any dumb hacky CBT meme wver did. Go to any relationship advice sub and ask for advice as a woman, then ask for the same advice as a man. If you're a woman they'll heap praise on you for setting his clothes on fire in the yard because he 'violated your boundaries' or some vague bullshit. If you're a man they'll tell you to 'just try and work it out, relationships are haaaaaard' after catching her in bed with another man. And heaven help you if you're not validating your trans partner's girldick enough.

It's a gender neutral way to express the 2nd person plural that isn't "you guys," so people averse to that kind of thing tend to use it constantly. It's kind of weird given their seething hatred for everything else about the American Deep South.
