That's the biggest problem with shows like these, they always have to prioritize their connections over the show content, they don't want to make fun of Ralph because of the Dax connection, cannot make fun of the compound retards because of Cumia, etc. Unless they're willing to go all in and make fun of anyone who acts like a retard, it will always end up with the same situation where there's a lot of things that are off-limit.
WATP could have been good, but there was a balance between the SJ stuff and "new" shows that they didn't manage well, whenever they focused on new shows it was boring, but the stuttering John stuff became repetitive and tired after a while. I stopped listening around the time they started to bring in Shuli (another completely unfunny leftover from the Stern show) on to talk about SJ. I never listened to any of the other shows so I can't comment on those.

In short, Karl is more worried about his connections than the show content itself, he never really managed to make the "podcast of the week" bit work and leaned into SJ way too much.

God even back then the Discord was starting to turn to shit with the Riley gunt guarding going on.

I left when several of Dick's friends found it absolutely hilarious to find random people in the server and constantly ping them over and over calling them pedophiles like it was the funniest fucking thing in the world.

They even roped in that "Jon breaks bad news" guy to harass people into doing it. They were even getting to the level of saying how they wanted to call people's works and family asking if the person was still on the sex offender registry. I left after that shit. Life ruination for a few lols isn't worth the risk.

Vinnie is great, any episode that features Kaya is fantastic, but the last several episodes I watched with Karl just phoning it in was just too boring. Then he'd bring up John or whatever other unrelated bullshit he had and I just clocked out.

A birthday surprise: I finally found a video version of Josh's final call in to the Dick Show, dated 16th August 2020. Was curious to see if he was going to get red in the face defending lolicon but sadly I don't think that's the case. Still a very amusing discussion that highlights how terrible of a debater Dick always has been. Also there's a @BIG_BRAD name drop at 22:02.

I'm gonna suggest we go back to talking about DAX, JUJU while I say this. But, Vinnie Vinny can't save that podcast (and vinnie is funny!) Karl doesn't care about it and made it clear he never did. What Paulino needs is a co-host which he doesn't have.

It just baffles me how so many once successful men idolize Juju. I don't understand the appeal. Does being a childless, never been failed "comedian", who has to bribe young drunk girls at seedy bars with coke to have sex with him and dresses as a cow and gets fucked in the ass is cool and lives the life that every man envies? Also, I'm starting to think that Juju may be an agent to the Sonichu demon much like how the Violator is to Malebogia in Spawn. Look at what has happened to all the men that befriend and idolize Juju:
Ralph: Is twice divorced, has two baby mommas and was chased out of the country and is now forced to squat alone in a Mexican ghetto for fear of the vengeful and litigious daddy of the first barely legal baby mommy who Juju insisted that Ralph have sex with.
Nick: Once was one of the biggest earners on YouTube who used to rake in tens of thousands of dollars at his height. Now is lucky to make even a hundred bucks streaming for hours.
EVS: Once one of the biggest names and earners in alt-comics. Has burned every bridge he has with geek YouTube and has suffered for it. Streams to only few hundred fanboys who still hold out hope he will deliver on his promises. Fundraisers for comics doesn't make even close to what they used to.
Lowtax: Killed himself. (LOL)

I'm amazed at how many Kiwis had the exact same experience with WATP. Hearing about the premise on TDS, I thought wow, this Karl guy makes fun of retarded and/or perverted wannabe podcasters? And then these wannabe podcasters then go to internet war with him, creating an avalanche of infinite content? Sign me the fuck up right now. Sadly, it's just unlistenable.

It's even worse because he does do the legwork of finding funny clips, and they are the best part of the show. From true crime wine moms to the infamous zoophiles, it's a delight whenever Karl isn't fucking talking. Then he comes in with soundboard clips that are way too long and overplayed, constant yelling, and a constant Los Angeles Podcaster ACK ACK ACK ACKing. It's even worse because his fake laugh is so obvious, not to mention loud as fuck.

What's really funny is that I have an immature sense of humor and actually enjoy soundboards. You need to load them up with quick and punchy in-jokes that fit a variety of situations, like a fucking Vine Boom is a popular one for example. Do not fill them with overly long unfunny filler.

Holy shit... that first part is cancer enough (and totally on the level of the people in there) but that second part is something we could really use some screenshots of. If anyone is brave enough to slip in, or is still lurking in there please do a search and grab some pics.

I wouldn't be surprised if Juju actually stepped in and got them to stop, because that sort of cancer has got to endanger his supply of apathetic $5 a month truck drivers.

The comments suggest he was brought onto Dick's show to bring more attention to it. Once the appeal of supporting his videos to stick it to Eric July fades, he'll settle back into the 300 views range where he belongs.
