Now that I'm done, I can share my suspicions. Click the Spoiler button for more.
I think it's Remy, formerly known as @StephenAtWar.
1. Remy's account is no longer active. There is a reason for this.
2. Remy was one of Crash Override Network's relatively early clients. After basically using him for a bit, he quickly realized he was being used, and when he started to speak out, they turned on him with a predictable hostility. The only thing they hate more than Gamergate is apostasy.
3. Stephen himself fucking hated Gamergate, but he would not shut the fuck up about how much of a scam CON was, and blew the whistle on several parts of their organization we now know to be true due to the leaks, such as basically doing nothing to help people unless it could get them power or prestige. This Tweetsave Archive establishes a longstanding fucking contempt for this clique and an incredible desire to get even with them for their bullshit.
4. In the closing months, Stephen came under attack by the clique repeatedly because he wouldn't be silenced. Unwilling to talk with outside voices because he had been in the belly of the beast so long, and flat-out denying any attempt by Gamergate supporters to extend an olive branch, he closed his Twitter in early 2016.
So we have a trifecta - a motive, evidence that they were involved with CON at one point, and most importantly, a reason they aren't around now.
Devi has actually made the claim that she got dropped as a client by them because she wasn't famous enough - which is one of Stephen's allegations.
Still the best metaphor for Gamergate:
Further evidence for the claims.
Further evidence for the claims.
CON only helped famous people or something?
Also, it was called the Crash Override Network. CON! It was like they were inept villains in a a saturday morning cartoon!
I've been going through the backlogs.
I have a strong suspicion that I know who the leaker is. And it ain't big blue.
Info coming once I finish a Lolcow Wiki update barrage.
If I ever write a mystery novel, I'm going to base the main character after you, @Jaimas.Now that I'm done, I can share my suspicions. Click the Spoiler button for more.

From what I understand, they were supposed to help you and give you advice if you were being harassed. In reality they only ever really gave a fuck if you were famous, and even then they only cared to use you for your fame. So, someone fill me in here. What was supposed to happen if you became a CON "client"? What did they claim to do for you?

SO.. you paid... for asspats?

If you weren't a semi big name they could use, they'd just send you generic 'helpful hints' lists to try and stop the harassment you thought you were getting... which, in many cases, was people disagreeing with the person or calling them dumb. Their biggest 'help advice' was to use The Blue Whale's GGAutoblocker. So, someone fill me in here. What was supposed to happen if you became a CON "client"? What did they claim to do for you?
I still don't understand what OAPI or CON do or where the Patreon funds for Quinn or Harper go. What exactly do these harassment prevention groups do for people and what have they done to date?
It's almost like they're both scams because the people involved are unemployable.
