Our thread on the January 6th riots and subsequently being a place people coordinated archiving* them saw our biggest subscriber jump over the lifetime of the sub. What I'm saying in this is that a not insignificant chunk of our users are highly political. And so...
https://old.reddit.com/r/DataHoarde..._speaker_deleted_his_podcast_hoarders_to_the/
We get threads like this one, a picture post without context that when you look into it
has nothing to do with data hoarding and is just political bullshit (not that accountability though preserving data isn't important)
Mike Johnson removed podcasts from his website, he didn't remove them from the podcast networks and as of writing still hasn't ... now that this politicking has gone on in the news and our sub I imagine either they do get removed from the podcast networks because that's what he thought he was doing through misunderstanding the technology or his team spins it and they stay online.
My point in this is that post is pure politics and thus only incites a bunch of people arguing points or stating personal opinions on religion etc, which does nothing for the sub. I locked the thread but this continues to be something the mod team should be aware of and diligent about in the future.
*Because can you even find that original hoard of Jan6th videos online today?
