"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Might be late and gay but idc because fuck wading thru 15 pages of cheese sperging ... looks like Odysneed has started featuring MATI on its home page under 'Pop Culture'. Tested this in an incognito window to make sure I wasn't influencing Odysneed's algorithm.

Re Sitcoms

Sitcoms are better than the shitty Drama Drivel people jerk off over now.

I would Rather watch Fraiser, Seinfield, Cheers or MASH over BreakingTheWireCallSonsofSaul or whatever "BESTEST DRAMA EVER FROM THE GOLDEN AGE OF TV" people won't shut the fuck up to me about.

It seems like the only one of the batch that lets me use Chromecast, which is nice. I never get to watch live though.

I had an idea today

I'm way too busy to start on it right now but would anyone be interested in (probably picture based rather than video) seeing someone trying to salvage the monstrosities that the various terrible cooking channels come up with? Basically just taking roughly the same ingredients (plus a few staples like flour, corn starch, etc as needed) and not ruining them

I don't know if it's possible to save any of Cobra's recipes but a lot of Jack and Kay's recipes I look at what they're starting with and really struggle to understand how they ended up where they end up. Cobra's recipes in particular would be hard for me because I can't do sweet+meat without getting sick so anything where he just throws candy on a burger or something is completely impossible for me to try and improve because I'll be gagging immediately unless I just leave out the candy and I feel like that'd be going against the spirit of the idea

Played with the Bing image generator since apparently that's the fad and I quite liked this one. If anyone wants to do the text better (or suggest a better name) I'd appreciate it. I have an idea for the first installment so hopefully I'll be able to do it soon. Hoping I'll have a day or two off next week

Since we're sperging about cheese I will need some cheese for this recipe so I could use some suggestions. Are there any 'dessert'-like cheeses aside from cream cheese? Doesn't specifically have to be cheese, something cheese-adjacent, like some kind of sweet-ish whey curd, would be fine if not preferable I think.

I don't follow the King Cobra JFS thread, but I think @Sicko Hunter posted a link in General Chat to Cobes' new mead making hobby. I have to say this alcohol making arc is really :story:

Cobes has created a fermented drink with:
-yeast
-sugar
-honey
-Reese's Peanut butter chocolate syrup
-whole miniature Reese's peanut butter cups
-Bacon bits (yes)
-A dollop of Jiff creamy peanut butter (for flavor)
-Mucho Mango Juice

Cobes then shakes everything up for some interesting 20 seconds of mead ASMR:

After letting the "mead" age for a "hot minute" in a reused plastic juice bottle with a balloon on top, he decides to taste (and orally filter @3:10 mark and @4:48 mark) the mead, which looks suspiciously like Jenkem.

He has created another batch of mead "Cookie Monster Mead" and it's Josh inspired, because he adds a whole can of pickled peppers to this batch @ the 2:45 mark. I can't wait for the sampling of this new creation!

Found out from A&H that not even our sacred October is safe from the gays…

That is not the US federal government's position. According to https://www.archives.gov/eeo/special-observances October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. So if the sexually oppressed want to share it they will have to prove they are more oppressed than employed people with special needs. For it to be an official US Special Emphasis Observance or Special Emphasis Program there would need to be an Executive Order or bill voted into law first.

January: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr - Authority: Public Law 98-144 (holiday established 1983) and Public Law 98-399 (commission established 1984)
February: African American History Month - Authority: Presidential Proclamation 5443 (history month established 1986) and Executive Order 11478 (1969)
March: National Women's History Month - Authority: Public Law 103-22, 107 Stat. 58 (history month established 1993) and Executive Order 11375 (1967)
May: Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month - Authority: Public Law 102-450 (heritage month established 1992) and Executive Order 13339 (commission established 2004)
June: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month - Authority: Proclamation 8387 (Pride Month established 2009)
June: Juneteenth (June 19) - Authority: Act, S. 475 (holiday established 2023)
September: National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15) - Authority: Public Law 100-402 (heritage month established 1988) and Executive Order 13230 (commission established 2001)
October: National Disability Employment Awareness Month - Authority: Public Law 100-360 (awareness month established 1988) and Executive Order 13187 (board established 2001)
November: National American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month - Authority: Public Law 101-243 (heritage month established 1990) and Executive Order 13270 (board established 2002)
Most of these programs came in two parts. First the establishment of recognizing the month. Then establishing a group, either commission or board, of up to 15 people appointed by the president for a term of two years to focus on helping advance causes of that minority group. For at least the President’s Disability Employment Partnership Board they serve "without compensation but shall be allowed travel expenses". Hopefully all these boards and or commissions have the same compensation structure or they would likely cost over one million dollars per group per year.
Thank you for coming to my lesson on American civics. For more information on the US legislative and executive branches past and present search congress.gov for bills and govinfo.gov for laws, executive orders, and more. In summery the sexually oppressed only have June as their special month and do not yet have a special commission who is dedicated to summarizing their needs each presidential term.

The best television program any sentient being in this or any other universe has already been produced. Why bother watching anything else?

You and @The Last Stand should hang out. He's got a thing for aged white ladies, and an appreciation for older cinema and entertainment, as he is a gentleman of refined tastes.

But it could also just be because hes a darkie and "where da wyte wimminz at". But even if so, he's our darkie and we love him.
