I am now at the point where I am 99% convinced the US will be involved in another shooting war within the next few years. I keep thinking "It's not IF, it's WHEN". All the signs seem to be pointing in that direction, but just how that war will shake out and what will happen exactly remains to be seen.

Isn't there a certain aircraft carrier currently in theatre scheduled to begin decommissioning in the next year or two? A long, laborious, and extremely EXPENSIVE process for one of the largest warships in the world, a nuclear powered warship, at that. It almost reminds me of another expensive problem turned cassus belli. A certain set of skyscrapers, full of icky asbestos, something that would be long, laborious, and EXPENSIVE to clean up. Luckily (not so lucky for the insurance adjustors) something happened to them, but I'm fuzzy on what it was, as I'm American and on average, we have the memory of goldfish. Its not like our greatest ally would have spooks dance as they watch and film something happening to one of our ships, let alone a couple of skyscrapers. After all, they ARE our Greatest Ally.

This just drives me crazy too, I want the country to stay together so I can just raise a family and make money.
