Islamic informing. A myth promoted by muslim & leftist academics, and breadtubers like Hasan Piker. I guess things weren’t ugly relative to Nazi Germany. In the Islamic “golden age” when Medieval Europe was generally aggro’ing on jews, they were better off in Muslim lands, though even then muslim massacres & pogroms of large numbers sometimes happened. But for the past 300 years or so, Enlightenment to Interwar period, muslim dominant countries were worse for yids. They were subject to the same dhimmi status as all abrahamic minorities...taxed more, mandatory clothing accessories (it’s where Euros got the yellow badge idea), forbidden from building temples or even rebuilding them (Pact of Umar). Up until late 19th century, the leaders of Moroccan jewish communities had to bring jizya tax to the Sultan every year, whereupon accepting it the Sultan’s official struck them with a cane to remind them of their place. In Yemen up until their 1950’s expulsion to Israel, jews were required by law to clean municipal cesspits & haul off animal carcasses. Murad III ordered all Ottoman jews be liquidated, only rescinding it when the jewish court physician persuaded his mother to step in. Even Hitler had more gratitude than a turkroach, he authorized the emigration of his mom’s jewish doctor & his wife with their wealth intact.
The Levant is no exception. Safed, near the Galilee, saw two anti-Jewish riots in 1834 & 1838 where the jewish population was set upon, beaten & robbed, with murder & rape thrown in. Even stole the doors from jewish homes, lol, mad niggerish. Safed is notable as the only recorded instance of a jew’s testimony being accepted as equal to a muslim’s, that’s how fed up the Egyptian pasha was with Palesimians. In Jerusalem 1847/1870, in Jaffa 1876, in Jerusalem again 1895. Many more outside of south Levant, like Aleppo 1850/1875, Damascus 1840/1848/1890, Etc. There was the Damascus Affair in 1840, a Muslim & Christian blood libel team-up...these incidents rankled Western jews like Theodor Herzl, and all took place well before the first Zionist congress in 1897. Shiraz in 1910 had nothing to do with zionist incursion in Palaestina. I don’t think the 1941 ”Farhud” in Iraq had anything to do with zionism, though I could be wrong. The British consul in Palestine wrote in 1831 that “the jews here have to pay even for the air they breathe”.
We’ll exclude pogroms that clerics like Amin al-Husayni launched, anxious at the rate jews were buying Mandate land. The “Palestinian Studies PHD” Hasan Piker recently had as a guest said they “rejected Jewish immigration”. Zionism is a vicious circle...it came about because jews felt they needed a safe zone, creating that safezone the way they did makes them unsafe, feedback loop. It’s too bad they didn’t pursue the Utah proposal, they’d have gotten along with the Mormons.
