Anyone that would want to take on, and pay for, a significant personal burden like this site would necessarily have ulterior motives for doing so. The only kind of benevolent ownership for this site occurs under a freeze peach absolutist, such as Deer Feeder, and the only motivation another likeminded individual would have for taking over running of the site would be Null deciding he can't/won't do it any more. At that point, monetary exchange becomes quite irrelevant if not entirely suspect.

There are no dimensions in which the Farms aren't a toxic asset deemed better-off obliterated. The only realistic instances in which the farms are sold would be to shut it down on the spot, and scavenge anything interesting in its code.

Also Null is too autistic to sell it. I'm willing to bet there were offers where he could've done a Moot and cash out in his mails, but didn't, either because he'd possibly have nowhere else to go, what with him being persona-non-grata in tech, or just out of sheer stubbornness.

I suspect anyone that buys the site would immediately transform it into something else. Like a crypto currency themed forum. They'd exclusively buy it just for its users/domain name. I suspect Null would regret doing it as he'd have nowhere to talk to other people and would fall into a depression similar to what happened to Notch after selling Minecraft.
