It's bled into Archive of our Own, too. You have no idea how many times a fic has been promising, and then I see "Trans Male Character" and "Trans [Character Name]" tags one after the other. I don't want to read about your gross hairy pussy, I want to read about men getting it on.
Oh yeah, I've seen it all over AO3. I've participated in "challenges" or "events" where you sign up and someone else writes a fic/draws a pic of a thing you request, you do the same for another, etc., and I have to be incredibly specific that I do not want trans shit in whatever they give me... and somehow phrase it non-offensively.
The power dynamic between men and women is never more obvious. While mtf force lesbians to accept them ftm are justifically ridiculed by gay men. It's more pitiful than funny imo. I hope this girl didn't do irreversible damages to her body and is able to go back to being a regular straight girl.

1) That's already happening, there's a pushback against faggotry taking place now that the open secret of homos being kid fuckers is as out and proud as a queer at mardi gras. Hence the continuous tire fire that is modern disney, not to mention the unending seething of its share holders.
I mean they've been appealing to autists for decades, but thanks to IDW they also appeal to the trannies.
I'm only tenuously aware of transformers...fuck, there's no way in hell I'm sullying the word lore by applying it to a toy commercial, but you get my point: even with as little as I know about the series, idw using the pink girl from the 87 movie as their token "forged male" character was 100000% deliberate. I'm sure the writing staff was as smug as can be when they made that decision, until the sales figures started to fall off of a cliff and have never once rebounded even for the finale issues.
