FTX/Sam Bankman-Fried megathread

These are major federal-level felonies which means federal sentencing guidelines apply. In order to reduce them the prosecution has to file a motion to request it and they didn't do so. Typically that's only done when someone cooperates with the prosecutors but their own offenses are too serious to completely drop or provide immunity against prosecution.
So wire fraud has an offense "base level" of seven. The most basic "enhancement" is going to be based on the amount of money he defrauded people. Reminder the amount in question is $10B.

So if we only consider one wire fraud charge or assume they'll be lumped concurrently, we're already at level 37. Thankfully USSC has a handy-dandy calculator that will tell us what that works out to in duration:

So the low end of the guidelines is 17.5yrs considering a wildly ideal circumstance for him. It's worth pointing out the calculator maxes out a 43 with anything greater than 42 includes a potential life sentence. In addition to the damages chart, there's a whole bunch of other aggravating factors to bump that level up. You cannot go above the statutory maximum of 20yrs/charge but you're pushing into territory where the guidelines support consecutive sentencing instead of concurrent. Major fuckery is about the only way he ever gets less than 15 years.

My guess is he'll serve minimum two decades.
Make that two… years.

The legal system is very lenient towards white collar crime. This is part of the golden parachute that the people who run society set up for themselves.

There is actually a known network of ultra Orthodox Jews who provide legal support to Jews convicted or accused of white collar crimes. These are extremely expensive and labor-intensive legal maneuvers for people who had life served to them on a silver platter. SBF could’ve simply not worked and been a trustafarian, then gotten some make-work non-job from his parents, instead of defrauding people of billions.

I've always been used to the elites getting a slap on the wrist for financial crimes. So you're telling me this nigga is going to be imprisoned until he's 141?

she's a really ugly woman who gets made fun of being ugly. She's even more ugly than Ayn Rand.

Ayn Rand’s being “ugly” never troubled her career or life. She married a handsome actor/rancher, had numerous affairs and was supremely confident in life and her abilities. Basically the exact opposite of Caroline.

I’m no Ayn Rand fan but if Caroline had 10% of Rand’s moxie she would have never been sending false balance sheets to Gemni at the bestest of her shitty ex-boyfriend, instead she would have walked away with millions in 2021.

the hate Caroline got simply for being a plain looking
"Plain looking" is the biggest compliment I've ever seen given to her. She's remarkably ugly.

I don't know if you've looked at many pictures of women during the depression but Ayn was at least a 6 for her era. Any women from back then that are still considered hot in the modern era were basically the most beautiful women that existed in their time, and most of those women were attractive as a profession as opposed to being poignant.

jews will eat jews for money.
I cannot remember which page it was on, but the protocols of zion very clearly state that it is both kosher and necessary to throw their "lesser brethren" under the bus when the pressure is on. What constitutes being a lesser jew in their eyes you ask? Why, that's up to personal interpretation and convenience silly goyim :^^^^^^^^)

On another note, i wanted to show someone the hilarious court sketch of the jewy co-defendant, found some other pics of her while looking and i don't think the bitch took all of this court shit well:

Looks like she aged 10 years ever since the indictment. God, she's hideous, i can feel my credit score going bad just looking at these.
Holy fuckin shit, how can someone rot so much in such a small amount of time???

Do the guidelines also say if sentences are imposed concurrently or consecutively? Is that something that's just up to the judge's discretion?

It’s why I put ugly in quotes. I don’t think Ayn was ugly, but it was the term the previous poster used. But I’m sure if Caroline could have only had nice posed, well lighted, B&W still images of herself used in the media people wouldn’t think she was so ugly either.

Beauty standards always vary over time. What was considered beautiful in1900 - 1930’s is different from today. (Tiny Cupid bow lips and pencil drawn eye browns were the height of beauty). Women that were 10’s in 1915, would be 5’s today. The great beauties of the silent screen wouldn’t even rank on IG today.
