@Ewan McGregor Isn't entirely wrong with his fandom thing. I think it's an oversimplification but if you look at the difference in pre and post more feminized tumblr-esque fandom being mainstream I can follow the logic. Men are to blame too and equally, but I think the modern type of generalized fandom is sort of defined by the type of girl and homo shit like shipping and self identifying as a character in something and larping/making it your whole identity while not created by harry potter fandom, definitely gained more mainstream traction and awareness through it. there were always splinter groups of weirdos for everything but harry potter was so huge a lot of this type of shit became more common knowledge through it, and a lot of this behavior was perpetrated by teenage girls. but more than women I just blame social media creating echo chambers for weirdos who devote too much of their time and personality to anything to congregate amongst themselves and groom others into what I'd call over indulging in media. that's the real catalyst, not women specifically.

From what I've read the Goblins are actually kinda pissed that wizards just kinda decided that they were in charge and that everyone else has to do what they say and abide by their rulings. For instance, as you pointed out, they've completely banned them from having wands which effectively stops them from fully utilizing their magical talent and puts them at a severe disadvantage against wizards.
If the goblins ever decided "Yeah fuck you, we're no longer abiding by the International Statute of Secrecy because we want to do business with the Muggles because their mass industry gives us a boner." the Wizards would basically shut that shit down instantly. Or if they found out goblins were making their own wands, same result.
Wizards really are bastards as much as JK Rowling didn't want to outright admit it.

I already posted this video in the Tranny Sideshows thread, but I have literally only just now noticed the spectre of J.K. Rowling looming in the background of the thumbnail, even though she doesn't actually feature in or have anything to do with the video at all, because she really does live rent free in these fucking lunatics' heads.
Would it not be potentially libellous of Caelan Conrad to try and draw a link between children's author, J.K. Rowling and accused rapist, Russell Brand, or imply some sort of endorsement where none exists?

While I agree that a lot of radfems can be insufferable, most of them are harmless really. Seeing radfems and second wavers perspectives on the trans debate has made me more sympathetic to real serious womens' issues (i.e. domestic abuse, prostitution, etc.) not petty first world things like "microaggressions" and "buzz words". After all, they were the canary in the coal mine when they denounced transgenderism all the way back in the 70s. A lot of people who blame all feminists forget that there is a massive difference between third wave feminism (aka modern/liberal feminism) and second wave feminism (aka radical feminism). The reason many ordinary netizens started to denounce feminism in the 2010s because of the third wave tumblrina rhtoetic of "kill all men", "men are trash", etc., intersectionality crap, and the nonsensical gamergate wars. Even old school feminists like Christina Hoff Sommers and Julie Bindel detest it. It's made a mockery of serious issues women face and has pushed ordinary women away from the movement.
IMHO, the modern trans movement is the unholy lovechild of third-wave Feminism (AKA Modern Feminism) and the 2010s social justice movement. You have the worst traits of both movements; the perpetual victimhood, a gross sense of entitlement for literally existing, and aggression towards dissent combined into one ugly abomination of a movement. I believe these two movements are partially to blame for the modern day trans movement and they only spurred it on by always validating troons unquestioningly and blindly catering to their every whims .

Star Wars and pretending to be Jedi was where this kind of behavior really got started in something approaching mainstream.
In my opinion.
Harry Potter just tapped into a pretty common fantasy held by children, especially girls.
The idea that they are secretly a magical princess and that they will undergo a miracle transformation, then go to a marvelous school rather than the mundane one they currently do, there will be new and equally amazing friends, teachers, with none of the shit kids they hate.
One thing that particularly interested me about the way she divided up the houses, how the brave and noble always sided with the tolerant and welcoming, but the absolute evil almost literally Nazi house would have sympathizers in the brain house.
She wasn’t being anti intellectual, as the sympathizers were a minority.
This does tie into that there were always hints that elitism was a part of wizard culture.
The goblins being controlled was part of that, and her ideal seemed to be a benevolent but powerful elite.
That’s probably what a lot of the troons initially liked about it, the idea of being part of a secret parallel world with access to mysterious powers.
They were just furious when she finally revealed that it wasn’t a metaphor for being Trans.
