While it's good to see somebody else get away from her sphere of influence there is always something funny about "Don't believe a source that has antisemitic and misogynist
undertones", like not only are you not disproving their point but you can't even properly poison the well. They're
undertones, you see, that means I just say it's real and you can't really prove me wrong due to the very nature of undertones.
Tell me you haven't actually watched Madoka without telling me you haven't actually watched Madoka.
Not that I discount Lily's remarkably poor analytical skills but she says 'you would take their trauma seriously' and that's what... Madoka... does...? That's the whole point of the tragedy? Also technically Kyuubey isn't a villain it's an alien intelligence that thinks curtailing the heat death of the universe is more important than the happiness of these silly human girls?
I also doubt she's seen the show because, while they aren't actually in lesbians together, Homura and Madoka's relationship is still gay af and it's difficult to believe she wouldn't comment on that, even if negatively.
Also there's something very funny about 'magical girl shows were always for girls', like boys aren't allowed to like a show in a different demographic than one intended for them (although Lily seems to think that girls don't like things that boys typically enjoy so I guess she's consistent, at least). Gonna avoid the obvious joke/observation, but this just ain't true; fun stories with good writing know no gender. I know a shocking number of guys who enjoyed Cardcaptor Sakura when they were growing up.
Never mind that creeps in fan circles have predated Madoka by a significant margin.
