I don't think trying to explain administrative decisions really equates to moderation. Attention, sure, because he is trying to communicate. You seem to keep refusing to understand. Moderation involves reading reports and actioning them (or throwing them in the trash) and posting "we need to talk about you faggots not knowing how to use thumbnails" on people's profiles. Maybe you feel differently but I don't think an administrator is wasting his time when he tries to communicate his intent to his website. If anything it should be encouraged.

If there are no extra thread-specific rules, then there is less of a need to moderate. Most of the bans seem to stem from these specific rules. Also, just because I don't look at a thread it doesn't magically stop it from affecting the overall health of the community.
