RIP Thread

So it's happened twice, one lived, one died. It's still something that should be considered, especially seeing as the neck and throat is the only area that isn't protected, and it's probably the most vulnerable area on the body. Especially when you're flying about with knives on your feet.
one was an accident, this was a nigger going ape mode to stop the guy with the puck from making a play

“Neck protection”
I hope they don’t cave to this, imagine them all skating around with pillows on their necks.

It’s actually happened before, someone getting his throat slashed by skate, but the player survived, there’s a video of it online somewhere, they are right though, it was an insane amount of blood……..
And the only reason that goalie survived was due to a veitnam combat medic who was working as the athletic trainer for the Sabres, at the time. He pinched his carotid, and pressed down on his collar bone, all the way to the surgical room.

Sad that this isn't standard operating procedure in whatever Bush league these guys were playing in....That being said, Ive read from a few doctors that this injury was probably worse than the goalies (unsaveable).

If it was a simple case of getting knocked down why did he kick his leg in such a manner?
To me it looks like he knew he was going down and was trying to kick to trip another player to keep him from making a play, and the man lost his life because of it. The way his leg bends and extends as he's going down doesn't make sense by simple momentum of losing his footing.

Don't be a dick.

"Well shucks guys, this one random player from the bench says it was all kosher, don't believe your lying eyes chuds!"
It’s actually been quite amazing to see the 180 on this issue over the past couple of days. From people instantly jumping to “he’s innocent!” to going completely quiet as more and more consensus that it was not accidental in any capacity, to the point where there’s a open manslaughter investigation.

Blindly accepting anything a black person does as acceptable is still fucking racism

With the death of Richard Moll, something especially ghoulish occurred to me, not only has John Astin outlived the rest of the main cast of the original Addams Family TV series but he's also outlived most of the main cast of the original Night Court (on which Astin was a recurring guest star playing Harry Stone's biological father Buddy Ryan) other than John Larroquette and Marsha Warfield plus a few other actors who left after the first two seasons.

(I hope John Astin makes it past 100.)

He also outlived Frank Gorshin (Astin temporarily replaced him as the Riddler for Season 2 of Batman 1966).

Bob Knight, NCAA coach known for his outbursts died at 83
Long live Bobby. I remember watching him a lot back when ESPN Classic was still a thing, and he was also the main reason why I loved the movie “Hoosiers”.

Also, even former President Trump paid tribute to him, courtesy of Breitbart:

“The World just lost an incredible person, the Great Bobby Knight. He was not just an award-winning and record-breaking Coach, he was loyal to his Players, to his State, and to our Country—Tough as nails, but a big heart,” Trump wrote.
“When he Endorsed me, it was like the whole Great World of Indiana opened up happy and wide. Our hearts and prayers are with his wonderful wife Karen and Sons, Tim and Pat—Their Father was a great man!” he added.

Oh, there is? That's actually good news.
Of course. I don't think he set out thinking to kill the other guy, but at the same fucking time, Petgrave has a history of playing dirty and doing shit that is blatantly against very basic safety regulations like tripping players. Shit like this was hoing to happen sooner or later if they didn't can him. He deserves to be put into prison for this. Ot's fucking hockey. Just fight with your fists instead of with a fucking razor blade on your shoe. Worst that happens is that both of you get put in the benches for the rest of the game or maybe one of you is knocked out. At least no one would die.
