Could Vic, in theory, sue Ty for malpractice? I know in my industry (healthcare) any fuckup can get you hit with malpractice lawsuit, IA it the same for law? Rate me MATI but Ty's arrogance and incompetence makes me hope that his retarded ass will have to cover for vic since he fucked up so badly.

This has been discussed in the lawsuit thread within the last dozen pages.

Yes, but the consensus is that he is likely too much of a nice person to do so.

God I hope the amount of $ he's going to be forced to pay the people who ruined his life makes him go after Ty for every cent he can. Love to see that smug arrogant greasy faggot lawyer taken down a peg.

Last time i watched Nick's show, Ty was on and I asked if Ty was going to pay for Vic's fees his incompetence caused with a superchat but it was conveniently not read until after Ty ran off. The beardguarding was what got me to turn on Nick.

I started lurking here after watching this MATI. I had stopped watching Nick when he threw the first drunken tantrum at people who didn’t want to hear about his sex life. It bothered me that he’d seemingly changed so much in such a short time. So, I came here to see what I’d missed. I admired the guy, it was so nice to see a normal husband and dad living a good Christian life, who could make law interesting and entertaining. I’m still sad about it mostly, if not all being an act.
I'm the same way. I thought he was a good dude and thought he was just joking around about being such a degenerate, especially considering his constantly professed christian beliefs etc. I think I stumbled on him being a full on lolcow after a deep dive spurred on by one of his alcoholic rants. Tbh though, I am not at all surprised at this point considering the guy literally has constant streams wherein people just buy superchats to make him drink liquor. He really followed Ralph down that exact same rabbit hole.

What’s that have to do with the Behavior Panel?
The BP analyse jury reactions to try to predict the verdicts and how jurors are leaning. Nick thinks that is all shite. He publicly said multiple times that he thought so. The BP pulls better numbers than Nick with (what I suppose are) middle-aged True Crime housewives.

If he hates trial streaming, but is forced into it, having 'experts' like the BP on will drive some numbers. Nick stupidly torched that bridge.

You must have missed the stream where he was fucking drunk at 2am and his daughter walked in crying from a nightmare and this absolute narcissistic scumbag actually yelled at her to “NEVER INTERRUPT DAD WHILE HES LIVE ON THE INTERNET” that was the last time I ever watched him live and I’d spit in his eye irl for treating his little girl so selfishly.
I guess he read this and it struck a nerve lmao

Not directly. But I believe that as part of the post-judgement discovery in the case, the attorneys on the other side are looking at the money raised by Nick for Vic's case that (allegedly) all went directly from Nick's hands into the hands of Ty Beard.

Its probably worth saying that Nick has no experience whatsoever with jury trials or dealing as an attorney with a jury. He is (as usual) offering opinions on a subject he knows almost nothing about.

i thought the vic lasagna case was paid by the go fund me. did vic pay money out of pocket? i figure the reason why vic was not mad at ty was because it really was not his money that was paid to attorney fees.

My pet theory on why Balldoman hates the Behavior Panel guys and similar jury analysis, is that he's worried that analysis would be turned onto him. He's a veritable treasure trove of "body language contradicting spoken language". You know... a liar.

Even Warski was telling Nick to ignore KF and stop feeding the drama. Who ever could have predicted that Rekieta would get to the point where fucking Warski is giving him wise advice he refuses to take? Wetbrain alcoholism is no joke.
The only rational thing he can do is ignore it people have been a-logging him on the forum for a long time anyway but his thread didn't gain as much traction when he was just tagged as an orbiter on the gunt board but lately he's been giving people alot of reasons to talk about him.

It cost a lot more than ehat was raised--at least it would have at a full billing rate for Anime Man's legal team, based upon speculation of some legal adjacent Kiwis. There are theories floated that Beard fell on his sword and stopped billing at some point. That is unsubstatiated, but I would like to think it is true.

To keep this from going too OT for the Nick thread, I will day that Nick himself hyped that that case would cost more than the GFM amount for thr motions and everything up to the depositions that were taken. He was pushing the fact that it was expensive and that the real monetary recovery would be from Funimation and Warner who had deeper pockets than MoRon and the redhead hambeast. He seemd competent enough to explain that much.

I am inclined to think this is true becuase of the corroboration from the Farms at the time.

I mean he does have a point. He's still a balldoman but he does have a point.
See you're probably thinking of men lying about finding a girl smart or interesting to sleep with her, that's not just what nick was talking about, nick was talking about women not even looking good and even just surface level compliments on appearances being a lie to pork the uggo until you Cam hopefully reach the ten percent of women who actually look good

We don't know the final amount yet (Chupp is supposed to calculate it soon) but it's probably gonna be significantly more than the amount raised by the GFM.

Which royally sucks for Vic.

Relevant to Nick, I gather he still hasn't auctioned those knives yet. Maybe he's waiting to see the butchers bill so he can get a feel for how much money he should ask for, but I'm probably giving him too much credit for even thinking that. He might not even give a fuck anymore. Nick got his money.

If he were in the UK, he'd have been paid out by Ty's malpractice insurance pretty damn quick. Losing a case because the lawyers failed to file the papers on time is as cut and dried a case of incompetence as you could find. They'd pay him out quickly because our system of loser pays costs means that where you've got a really obvious case of negligence, you don't want his NEW lawyer running up the costs.

I had a friend who had a pretty similar thing happen. Workplace back injury, his lawyers blew it by failing to meet a filing deadline. He'd been waiting about five years to try and get the thing into court, but after it was thrown out due to his lawyers negligence, the insurers settled within about nine months, for around two thirds of what he was hoping to get had he won the case on its merits.

Pretty sure this wouldn't matter. My friend's case was funded by legal aid so didn't cost him anything either. You're damaged by the failure to get your day in court in an attempt to right the wrong you were subjected to. They generally have guidelines for the kind of damages that you'd expect to get if you'd won your case and that's the starting point for determining the size of the award you'll eventually end up with.

I think Nick's disdain for the jury analysis stuff isn't as deep as that. He hated people asking him to get behavioral analysis people on. He hated people asking him to talk to DUI Guy or Runkle about their jury observations. As with most things with Nick he fights against people making demands of him.

A few weeks ago (documented in the WW lawsuit thread) he mentioned on a stream that he would try to find the best way to transfer them to Vic so that he can auction them off. I would be *scandalised* to learn this has not yet occurred.

I am not even sure what to call the relarionship between them at this point. It seemed symbiotic for a long time, but now it looks more ans more parasitic for Nick and codependent for Vic. I feel bad for him not having many real friends that he is stuck with Nick.

Some think this kind of obstinace is 'cute' in children or think it is hilarious when people play into stereotypes (think 'dumb jogger', 'angry Latina', or similar), but at some point the joke runs dry and you are just an arse who needs to shut up.

That's correct. I believe one of Chris' summaries a few weeks back mentioned Nick bringing them up, he said he was most likely just going to send them to Vic to deal with himself. Which is, honestly, probably the correct move. Vic should've always had them and been in charge of the auction, but of course Nick needs everything to go through him for clout so they've been collecting dust instead.

Would anyone even care about the knives. I did remember he did that drip feeding thing saying "If ThE lAwSuiT fAilS iLl exPoSe FuNi." Just to say a year or two say "Well, uhmm. You guys already know."
