I don't know where you live (by "posh totty," I assume you're a Britbong), but in the US and Canada, squid (especially the deep-fried rings) is commonly referred to as calimari, because Italians were the first to popularize it here, and for decades Italian restaurants were virtually the only places Americans or Canadians saw squid on a menu. I've even seen it called calimari on Chinese takeout menus.
Come to think of it, he only time I've ever seen squid referred to as squid on a menu here in the US was at a very expensive restaurant, so if you want to be "posh totty" here, I guess you'd refer to squid by its actual name.
Chantal only cares about her health when she's suddenly and alarmingly sick beyond her accustomed baseline of debility—which she has been, lately. And when she does see doctors and allow blood draws, it's because she expects them to just fix whatever the problem is by giving her a pill.
She has no intention of changing any of her behaviors at all, as we've seen through varying diagnoses of type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, pulmonary embolii, and severe diarrhea that warranted a colonoscopy, which she never bothered to get. She also had a full hysterectomy, after years of being told that lifestyle changes would help her avoid that.
So Chantal wanted another pill to fix her problem and make her feel better, and since she's a dying ball of the most haram lard imaginable, whoever she saw did the responsible thing and ordered bloodwork. I can guarantee it's no more complicated than that.

Why the fuck does she keep buying eggs? We havent seen her cook a single one in her "land of the sand" era ever. Is she really that retarded? Eggs are subsidized and not everyone has access to the subsidized food and have to pay full retail. There are "black markets" where you can sell your subsidized goods for a little profit and expats can buy them for cheaper than regular retail while you profit from the subsidies. It might be another reason Chantal's not allowed at the check out of these stores and had to go sit in the car. They are called "Tamween goods" Just a theory.. a FOODIE theory.

I wondered where all that produce was going and that’s a plausible explanation. If you allow for the fact that she seems to order from a variety of places, this could make sense for the meals she shows that don’t come from a specified fast food joint or restaurant.
It would cut food costs for them somewhat and save the restaurant valuable shopping time… assuming Chantal meticulously sticks to a list.

So she is eating fast food by the lorry load and they are buying groceries at the same time , she is living a gluttons wet dream , she has constant snacks in-between take out deliveries.
This is just as predicted before they left Thailand , she did a visa run so no need to do it again for 3 months so now she can just sit and gorge on anything she can lay her meat paws on .
Pretty soon she will be tripping over her fupa bollocks , where as the village idiots balls get more shrivelled each time he looks at his behemoth nonbride.

Yeah maybe she sometimes passes it off as her own - I could see that. But I was more thinking how she seems to eat slop on rice from tinfoil containers a lot. Obviously it's not like only one restaurant has those kind of containers, but there's a certain. . . quality, or lack thereof, to the tinfoil meals. And honestly the cincher for me is Sally calling the restaurant.
I have a local deli I visit fairly frequently and they know me; but if I called them after I'd picked up an order, come home, began eating it and asked what they gave me, they likely would be like "uh, I dunno? What you ordered?" It seems like maybe they get whatever the daily special is - ie, whatever the restaurant got very cheaply - and maybe don't get a choice? So Chinny is like "this is fish!" because they didn't order it and Sally misunderstood when he picked it up?
Idk again it's all speculation. But keep an eye out for the tinfoil containers and how gross that food always is. Call it my tinfoil containers theory.

Maybe they get the food they do, such as large quantities of vegetables and eggs because they receive ration cards for them and they are taking their max allowable?
And then maybe they do as you mentioned, and sell the excess on the black market for extra cash since they are so broke. Apparently it's in issue in Kuwait that the police have been trying to crack down on. They could even just be reselling it to people they know or family for a profit.
