Russia did.

Although many would call it extremely poor diplomacy on the part of Ukraine to constantly agitate Russia by taking huge amounts of money, military training, and weapons from Russia's #1 enemy since like 1947 while sharing a land border with them. Imagine looking at America's track record and seriously thinking "Yeah they'll look after us like they look after all of their allies. Things are great in Afghanistan and Iraq".
Do you never stop to wonder why nearly every single state bordering Russia, from the moment they gained independence, has done everything possible to escape from Russia's sphere of influence? Do you not think that the reason Ukraine sought western arms and funding was not because they wanted to agitate oh-so-peaceful-and-innocent Russia, but because they knew Russia resented the loss of so much imperial territory and would come knocking eventually? The narrative built up by this thread is that Russia is the innocent party, when it's clear from even a cursory examination of history that Russia is a repeatedly belligerent oppressor of every country around it.

In the most effective sense, NATO.

The only reason why it's not seen that way is because bribing and replacing politicians with useful idiots isn't as visible as a war.
The extent to which Ukraine was bribable had a lot to do with how much it mirrored the Russian system.

People are inclined to go overboard with assuming the extent to which things are bribed, but let’s take a quick peek at Poland. They played the game to its best extent, getting massively fortified militarily but retaining rights such as to say “fuck off, no North African immigrants”.

I’ll agree to the extent that Putin was motivated by losing influence in Ukraine, but in all honesty, the triggering events were probably related to Biden being able to install and remove prosecutors on a personal rather than national interest basis, like Russia would want to do. That would be a signal that Ukraine had tipped too far into the American orbit. But that’s not really about NATO, and as much as NATO makes a convenient excuse, there’s no way Russians actually thought they would ever be preemptively attacked by NATO, so “securing” themselves against it is pretty bullshit

Edit: @Useful_Mistake i was still busy sperging when your threat got posted so I didn’t see it in time

This fucker murdered nearly EVERY ONE of his citizens between 18 and 30 rather than agree to neutrality and peace.
I hope he's eventually killed via impaling or sword rape when his regime falls.

I'd imagine that a lot of those people, at least on the more impacted female side, fled the country.

Which makes his recent chest-thumping at Trump idiotic because when Trump was in office, there was not another conflict between Russia and Ukraine. While Trump was likely exaggerating that he would end the hostilities in twenty-four hours, he at least would be pushing peace talks unlike the current administration.

The incumbent governor is a Democrat. Wouldn't be shocked.

Trump: "Okay Hoodie Zelensky, time to stop this war."

Zelensky: "REEEEE, HOW DARE I STOP MY MONEY LAUND- I MEAN GLORIOUS DEFENSIVE WAR WITH RUSSIA?!?!"

snark aside, they're getting ready for 2024.

These wouldn't happen to be the same machines used during the most secure election in our nation's history right?

100% I bet.

They are running untested code on election day and of course the judge ok'd because they claim it can all be fixed after the vote. I am sure it will be.
The county obtained a court order Tuesday after the problem was discovered that allowed the machines to continue to be used. When the votes are tabulated, they will be corrected so that “Panella’s votes will be returned to Panella, and Stabile’s will be returned to Stabile,” said McClure, who leads the county 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of Philadelphia.
McClure blamed a coding error by voting machine company Election Systems & Software, which he said the county’s elections staff failed to pick up during testing.
ES&S acknowledged fault. A company spokesperson, Katina Granger, said the problem was caused by human error, was limited to Northampton County and only affected the judicial retention question.

Voting Official: "It's ok that the machines cannot tally the votes correctly, we will just fix it later and the votes will be correct as they were put in."
Judge: "Sounds good to me. There is no possible way this wouldn't be 100% secure and I can see absolutely no issues or break of trust happening. Legal."

:stress:

I am in awe. The judge isn't stupid, he simply is complicit.

The ride never ends, does it?

For fucks sake America, it's better to advance and call them on this shit hard now when it's a year out from the real deal, than to wait till election night 2024 and throw your hands up in amazement that they're frauding again. We know they have a lot of different ways but we also have had several years to fix this shit.

Except you can't sue because it hasn't happened yet, you can't sure because it's happening, and you can't sue because it already happened
