...that’s kinda what pisses me off about Crowder releasing this, is that I very much doubt that he ran this past any of the families.

I'm sure that part's true, especially since he's apparently going to release it like it's a Netflix show, but I dunno...if I was the family, I would want the world to know what the person who murdered my child was thinking when they did it, as a form of closure and so maybe other people can have a degree of empathy, if not true understanding - anything to try and make sense of the fact that you lost a child to a completely pointless act of violence. It would also help pre-empt the idea that shootings are psyops and the victims are crisis actors or never existed. Like people have said, I assume the reason it's being withheld is because the authorities are trying to work out where they fucked up considering Hale believed she was nearly caught. It's possible she was staking out the school given the level of planning she'd done.

On the topic of the Nashville shooting itself, I personally believe it was not racially motivated because the racial element doesn't strike me as the focus of Hale's manifesto, or at least what's been released so far - being trans, and thus someone who almost certainly spent time in liberal circlejerks online, she likely used 'cracker' and 'white privilege' alongside 'faggot' because those were the insults she could think of to apply to her mind's image of the people she hated - given that a black teacher was one of the victims, her targets were the people in the school - any people as it turns out, but specifically 'kids' - who represented a presumably miserable childhood that nobody caught when she attended. There's no deeper justification, there's no point being made, it simply reads like a vengeful death wish. The one detail that strikes me as significant is the 'mop yellow hair', meaning she probably had in mind a specific white kid - a tormentor, a target of jealousy, who knows. The very fact that her manifesto is so infantile (I thought it was fake at first, because, really? Gun doodles?) indicates she was emotionally and intellectually trapped at that school and going out in a blaze of violence was the only way she thought to bring closure to her shit life.

Identifying as trans in a misguided attempt to solve an emotional or identity disorder obviously doesn't improve one's mental outlook, but I think it's important to distinguish future tranny shooters who are motivated because of toxic ideology and those for whom it was just another step on a road they were always doomed to take.
