I read the community happenings post and I feel like I must be missing something. I have never heard of this guy before and I know as much about Geometry Dash as I do about how to construct a nuclear arsenal out of spare microwave parts, but how is any of this proof that's a pedophile? Some people seem to develop pedophilia without being molested, too, which suggests (like most mental illnesses), it is a combination of genetic and environmental factors, just like schizophrenia. We could eliminate all molestation and rape and would still end up with pedophiles. The worst case scenario for a pedophile and a psychopath are equally shit, in my opinion, and both should be treated equally seriously - there's no reason to murder all pedophiles but allow other, equally dangerous mental illness sufferers to live.

Literally no one said or even implied that pedophilia should be accepted. Even if they did, that is STILL preferable - I do NOT want to live in a world where my nextdoor neighbor could be a pedophile taking creepshots of and wanking to my daughter playing in the yard. I would much, much, MUCH prefer that he feels safe enough to declare his feelings for kids in the open so I can keep children the fuck away from him. Do you really want them hiding in the shadows, continuing to stalk children, rather than be exposed for who and what they are? I don't care how disgusting they are, I want it to be a known factor, always and without exception. No one wants to live in a world like that, just like no one wants to live in a world where people walk around thinking about raping adults, or murdering old ladies. A lot of people don't want ot live in a world where the opposite political opinion exists because they believe anyone who thinks even slightly different to them is literally evil. No (non-pedophile piece of shit) is out here saying that the act of pedophilia is totally fine bro don't worry about it - people are saying "hey don't go around demonizing people for having thoughts that are completely out of their control". Acting on those thoughts is another matter entirely, but that's not what I'm talking about. There are plenty of people who are gay and hate being gay and desperately wish they weren't, but they can't change the fact that they are. Is there any evidence for pedophilia being a purely learned behavior, or for being a behavior that can be changed? As far as I know, there is no known cure for being a pedophile; theoretically, if you can condition yourself into being one you can also condition yourself out of being one, right? And surely if you could, that would be the goal?
