2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

The war (unsurprisingly) caused a spike in German arms exports to Israel. The volume for 2023 has already reached 303 million euros (for comparison the total volume in 2022 was just 32 million). This is likely the highest German arms export to Israel have ever been, not counting the big projects like the u-boats and corvette deals. (Note: delieveries of medical supplies do not fall into this figure)

Detailed rundown from the media reports:
  • 6% of total volume for arms (this category only includes small arms like assault rifles, machine guns, machine pistols etc. irc)
  • 284 million fall in the category other (this category, for some reason, includes tanks, apcs, armored and unarmored trucks, but also components for weapons built in Israel; pretty useless category tbh)
  • I have seen a report that most of it is components for air defence systems and communication systems, but the government is not giving out any details so take it with a grain of salt
Source (German)
It's also very likely that this figure will rise even further until the end of the year, since there were already 185 export solicitations approved [out of 218 total for the year; Source (German)] since 7th of octobre. With the end of the war nowhere in sight, I wouldn't be surprised if the total approved volume surpasses half a billion by the end of the year.

Although those things not happening, or not happening yet. Doesn't mean they aren't major escalations that are being risked.
The idea that a sprawl of states who all....
  1. fucking despise eachother for reasons going back up to a thousand years and include everything from minor religious differences to racism to hilariously recent genocides
  2. have gleefully and knowingly ignored the fuck out of muslims being treated orders of magnitude worse by other non muslim states either out of apathy or muh-realpolitik
  3. are led by cynical sociopathic dictators and near dictators whose first and only concerns are ensuring they stay in power either off the largesse of the west or by not directly attacking the west
...would suddenly settle all their differences and instantly create a functional military alliance against Israel because of round #97238976 of the eternal jew-on-kebab slapfight in the region is an idea so monumentally fucking retarded it eclipses even shit like that Z tier call of duty spinoff plotline where all of South and Central America spontaneously united and conquered half of the US because they all hated america so dang much

I'm seriously shocked no one has baited them into screaming Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud, jaish Muhammad soufa ya'oud (Khaybar Khaybar oh Jews, the army of Muhammad will return.)

references the battle of khaybar where Muhammad massacred the Jews of Khaybar after he stole stuff from them and they tried to ally with Mecca to get him out. The Muslims massacred them all. Lots of Arabs chant it to cheer on Jewish genocide.
I don't think they'd have to be "baited" into singing it, tbf

In the short term Israel got what they wanted but in the long term they lost, as it stands its pretty much a social norm for the under 40 to want israel gone, and even the 40-60 age group is majority anti-israel at this point
I'm not sure I'd agree with this take exactly. I think it's more Israel's arguments for special treatment don't work so much any more, although I'm talking from a UK perspective.

There's not many holocaust survivors left and WWII feels increasingly remote. You see it a bit with the planned armistice day protests - there's no WWI vets left pretty much, it's a distant memory, so you get people asking "why not protest what's going on right now in Palestine? That's more important than remembering the Great War". I've had youngsters start at work who were a bit baffled by us observing the remembrance silence, and it's increasingly rare to see young adults wearing poppies if they don't have a family connection to the armed forces.

The wall came down in '89 and although Putin and Xi are doing their best to restoke it, pretty much anyone under 40 doesn't really remember the Cold War even if they were alive. Also, the West is significantly more ethnically diverse than it once was - in the UK we've got the Scottish First Leader with family in Gaza, a Hindu Prime Minister, a Buddhist Home Secretary etc etc. "Israel are US, the Arabs are THEM" don't quite hit home with young people the same way.

For many people in their 20s, they won't remember 9/11. Older ones will remember the anti-Muslim rhetoric that emerged after that and the efforts that went into diffusing it - subsequent acts of Islamic terrorism were reframed to "don't hold Muslims accountable for the actions of extremists, keep Muslims safe". The Iraq War is usually remembered now as highly unpopular and the West doing war crimes. So that predisposes younger people to automatically seeing Muslims as the oppressed minority and a Western country interfering in the Middle East (whether Israel or America or whatever) as being automatically bad. It doesn't help that Israel has a historic track record of committing atrocities and killing civillians.

That's without going into academia pushing decolonisation and post-colonial guilt about Rhodesia or India or whatever (and thus our involvement in setting up Israel provokes the same cultural cringe) plus the Palestinian flag ending up at every leftist protest ever... and Communist Grandpa Corbyn who promised the Earth having his opposition toppled by (some valid but frequently manufactured) accusations of anti-semitism. Plus the current government is highly unpopular and yet is explicitly "on the side of Israel" with Rishi telling Bibi "we want you to win".

It's not that most under 40s are specifically anti-Israel. I don't think that's the case, most people aren't terribly invested in international politics and are primarily focused on domestic issues, if they engage with politics at all. It's just that - especially left leaning cosmopolitan people - they're not going to have a knee jerk reaction of siding with Israel or Jews, because that knee jerk reaction is now siding with Palestinians. Otherwise disengaged people I've spoken to about this seem to be more on the side of "Israel needs to stop bombing Palestine and oppressing Palestinians" now the shock of October 7th has worn off.

It doesn't help that the highly complex history of the region isn't taught in schools and rarely explained in detail by TV. You'd need to specifically seek it out, and most people tend to operate on vibes on this.

This viewpoint is going to vary by nation. I imagine it's a very different story somewhere like France, where hating Les Beurs is basically a national past time.

Palestinians are not handling these images well:

The Arabic reads "Al-Nakba Flood", a play on Hamas's name for the 7/10 massacre - "Al-Aqsa Flood".

The poster shoah continues. Over 6 gorillion postas have now been organically filmed being taken down in real time oy vey it's a shock and a shonda.

Amazing that the genocidal Israelis are just letting all those civilians flee to safety rather than taking the chance to genocide them. They aren't doing this genocide well at all.

Yeah, I mean come on, what are the chances that the people who are the ones putting the posters up would ever be in the area when some shitskin bughive dweller chimps out and starts tearing them down? Everyone knows you put one poster up then you haul ass to the opposite end of town to put up the next. What, do (((they))) expect us to believe they’re walking through the neighborhood with a stack of the things putting them up or something?!

Thank you. If they wanted to kill all the women and babies it would have happened weeks ago.
I am very curious what John Q Public really thinks about all this, and not what celebrities and privileged queer white women and muzzies ‘peacefully protesting’ who get all the attention say.
Also off topic but in case anyone wondered if Roger Waters has completely lost the plot (see his recent remake of Dark Side of the Moon), the answer is yes, he has.
Disappointed, but not surprised.

NGL hilarious how they can't ignore it and are driven to take down these posters like robots. Just ignore it and move on.

Hamas left metadata in their videos that they posted on telegram showing their exact GPS coordinates.

If you held up a sign that said "Muhammed was a pedo" and ran into a burning building, a dozen Muslims would follow you inside, and then shit libs would blame you when they die in the building.
It's honestly disturbing seeing how religious/political fanaticism causes people to lose any form of reason or self control. Like the idea itself is a parasite that takes over your body.

The ones I've seen haven't been in particularly rough areas.

The building with the Ukrainian flag is The Slug and Lettuce in Borough. It's round the corner from The Shard/London Bridge, so basically just Central London offices.

That video's particularly bleak because the mother of the girls saw it and shared it getting quite upset, pleading “No, no, no. This is so wrong. I can't believe people are ripping off the posters of my kidnapped daughters and other hostages. Why would you do this? Why does it make you smile? Dafna is only 15, and Ella is 8."

This is St Christopher's Place by Oxford Street. Right by Selfridges (high end department store).

This woman was photographed tearing down posters in Primrose Hill, home to lots of boujie delis and where celebrities live.

This is West End Lane in West Hampstead, a Jewish-y affluent area.

The people putting up this posters don't seem to be focusing on e.g. plastering them up outside the big mosque in Whitechapel, they're mostly flyering either in Central London/touristy areas or wealthy/Jewish areas. It's just that even the poshest areas of London are walkable from relative shitholes or they're in high traffic locations... so I'm inclined to think a lot of these confrontations are organic, and Jewish people are happening across poster ripping in real time.

I took these at the end of October in NYC, 7th Ave and 57th St area.
There were multiple pro-Pally mass protests all over the city.
Jews were told by LE to avoid those areas.
Imagine if any other ethnicity had been told to avoid certain areas.

There was a long line of poles here with posters that had been X-d out and ripped off.

PICK A SIDE- TINA TOON

Cartoon published 11/07/2023

Democrats are in a fix. The radical pro Hamas wing of the party is supporting Gaza, and at the same time other members of the Democrat party are supporting Israel. The Democrat party is tearing itself in two.

David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel, realized that the Arabs would never make peace with Israel. After all, he acknowledged that the Arabs had their land stolen. When the state of Israel was created, the Arabs instantly attacked them. The Arab attacks against Israel have not ceased since its creation—and often Israel expanded their territory after their victories, thus making more violence inevitable.

The Palestinians might have a legitimate beef, but they make it much worse on themselves by launching vicious attacks on Israeli men, women, and children. The latest surprise attack from Hamas was particularly inhuman and heinous, but predictably they immediately began using Palestinian civilians and children as shields against the inevitable Israeli counterattack. After they attack Israel, Hamas immediately paints Israel as the aggressor and ‘occupier.’ Palestinians refused to vacate areas that Israel intended to attack. Israel gave them plenty of warnings which were ignored. Hamas showcases dead Palestinians—especially children—in order to sway world opinion to their side while demonizing Israel. It always seems to work. The world leaders pressure Israel into a cease fire. Then the attacks from Hamas happen once again, and the cycle of violence and hatred gets reinforced over and over again.

This is one of the reasons Reagan withdrew troops from the Middle East after suicide bombers attacked the US Marine barracks in Lebanon, killing 241 Americans. At the time the withdrawal was controversial, but in retrospect it was a wise move. The United States has no business meddling in the tribal disputes there—we use the word ’tribal’ because it has been proved that Palestinians and Jews share certain DNA markers.

On Monday Barack Obama pontificated on how we all share the blame. He said “Nobody’s hands are clean.” Obama’s hands are particularly dirty. He bragged about how good he was at killing people as his drones murdered countless people throughout the Middle East and in Afghanistan. For his bloody work he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Obama also questioned Israel’s very existence. He said “…The occupation, and what is happening to Palestinians, is unbearable.” It’s almost as if Obama would like to see Palestine defeat Israel—and in fact we know that Barack sent billions of dollars to Iran, perhaps Israel’s biggest threat. The mullahs used the money to arm their proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas. Obama’s generous nuclear deal with Iran only underlined Barack’s weakness.

All those far-lefties on American college campuses now supporting the Palestinian ‘cause’ should realize what that cause is. The Palestinians want to drive all Jews out ‘from the river to the sea.’ That means they want to murder every single Jew and completely destroy Israel. That’s also unbearable, Barry.

Many far-left radical Democrats now side with Palestine. Radical Rep. Tlaib tweets out her support for Hamas over nine times, and accuses Biden of ‘genocide.’ This has to be a big surprise and a bigger embarrassment to the open borders, ‘green’ president, Joe Biden. He’s making Jewish voters angry by funding Palestine. That money will not be used for humanitarian purposes—it will go into the pockets of Hamas.

He’s also alienating Muslim voters by giving billions of dollars more to Israel. That will cost him Muslim votes. All of this is not helping Joe’s poll numbers and that’s good because his renewed occupation of the White House would be unbearable.

We at GrrrGraphics are anti-war and unless it’s thrust directly upon the USA. Otherwise we should steer clear of foreign entanglements and tribal conflicts—especially ones that will never find an end. Ronald Reagan had the right idea. Get out and stay out. America should not be the world’s policeman.
