There was a time when if you were "professionally" writing something (ie, publishing it through a company) you would want to keep all your weird kinks out of the public eye. I once dated a girl who was like this, only not about trans shit. It's the most exhausting thing in the world to try and humor the "emotional needs" (read: narcissistic attention-demanding) of this sort of person. If "I accept you for who you are, you don't need to justify yourself to me," isn't good enough for them, just leave. It's not worth it.

I imagine these characters having unique scars, though. Cephalophods heal in different ways compared to us. Here is an example of wound closure with an Octopus vulgaris specimen.



It would be a perfect opportunity to go wild and creative with scars, but... I'm expecting too much from SJWs.

Usually I don't mind people being creative with the agents since they are supposed to be customizable avatars but some people go so far they pretty make something completely different.
Agent/Captain 3 is a good example.

Something funny is, Splatoon twitter hates "nsfw" artist because "they reduce her to just her body". Ironically I think NSFW artists are much more respectful to her, Specially design-wise.
These people make her a racist caricature or take so many "liberties" they pretty much draw a completely different character and reduce her to just being lesbian. They say she's way more but they depict her a just "Pearl's girlfriend".

[powerlevel] I give my Captain 3 a sanitization scar too [/powerlevel], but it will never cease to annoy me how some people draw the sanitization scars. Sanitization would probably leave a discolored scar ala Sanitized Octolings, but I've seen so many people draw it like an actively-rotting unsightly burn scar. (Canonically it leaves no scar, but that's neither here nor there since it's fun to draw it.) I get that it's difficult to make the teal flow well with the rest of Captain 3's colors, but it can be done. Hell, full-sending it and making the whole scar bright teal can look good if your artstyle looks good.
