So here's the thing: I think his sentence will be harsher than you may think because he kept fighting with the judge on the stand but more importantly because he *didn't take the cushy plea deal he got offered*. If he had taken the plea, he would probably have gotten a slap on the wrist. Instead, he made it a fiasco.

He has a level of narcissism approaching Bond villains.
The amount of times he violated his bond conditions was insane.
...and the amount of times he was caught attempting 'witness tampering'.

He has shown utter contempt for the court. I hope that is brought up at sentencing.

I guess at sentencing we will see how well his and his family's connections can help him. While I don't think he will receive that much jail time, it's still crazy to think he might be jailed for a longer time than most child molesters, murderers and so on. Then again, I remember in my country a dude got 8 years for murder while another got 13 years for burning and selling DVDs with movies/games/software.

This video gives a pretty good insight into what happened at the trial. Among other things, he actually planned out a scenario where everything goes to shit for him and it more or less came true.

I was completely convinced that he would get away with it with a slap on the wrist and a some tut-tut-tutting for the crowd from a paid off judge with the media burying any coverage on it sans letting the story spread on websites they convinced the public are conspiracy-nut rags. I still think we need to see the details of what this 100+ sentencing looks like, for all we know he could be thrown into a gulag of luxury in some posh low security prison or even get early parole once the heat dies down to finish off he sentence at home.

I've lost faith in the justice system but I'm hoping this time I am wrong.

It makes sense that they'd make an example of him, by getting much of the Democrat party on board with the grift in 2020 he made fools of a lot of powerful people when it blew up. He also ruined the "Jew-genius" archetype that legitimizes so much of the postwar order in a time when public trust was already at a low ebb.

I've seen a lot of claims trying to solidify that particular stereotype of jews as being true since the recent sperg-out between Israel and Hamas. Since it's an incontrovertible fact that jews are "geniuses", it's also an incontrovertible fact that they're of more worth than muslims, apparently.

Growing old in prison is fucking awful. I'm currently listening to ex con stories on youtube and omg Bankman doesn't know what's coming. He knows he is going to prison but he has no idea how awful the experience will be for him every single day. He is a perfect victim in prison not just for booty bandits but also extortion, bullying etc. Imagine that shit happening for the rest of your life.

It's terrible but he deserves it because he is a terrible creature.

(like srsly I didn't know that the amount of rape & gang rape happening in american prisons is that high. I've listened to horrifying stories about like 30 convicts having their way with one guy or a young guy getting viciously gang raped in a dorm in front of hundreds of people & then someone stomped on his head, killing him or people being tied up in their cells for days & becoming a free to use sex slave and no one ever does anything to help because that's not how it works in prison & too many guards don't give a fuck).
