Oh yeah, that story about being raped. Billy recycled it as Frank's origin story (can't find the right strip, but this one is pretty close to it)

This whole Labelle thing just fascinates me because I just can't get my head around this single-minded obsession with genders. Here's a person who eats, sleeps, and breathes genders. Thinks and talks and lives genders, to the almost total exclusion of anything else. And when I find this older stuff it just blows my mind how long this has gone on.

How does a person even live like that?

Stephie will tell him it's okay to wear nailpolish or whatever he wants to and tell him about the genders, turning him into the genderfluid mess that we know and can't stand.

It annoys me that this is a paid product, and Sophie clearly was lazy as shit when drawing it. Not only is this face creepy as hell, not projecting happiness in the least. But it has a blatant mistake on it too.

She just lets Ciel's irises hang out of his eye socket. Because that's how eyes work. Sophie literally couldn't take the two seconds to fix the overlap.

Yes he still looks like a serial killer, but it literally took me a matter of seconds to fix. It's obvious there is no love in her art. Quality control is stupid. Just give me asspats and money.

Every time I remember (or am reminded of) that I feel very frustrated– partly because I draw and would love a tablet like that– but also because Sophie had one before and broke it.

If she can't even be bothered to edit obvious issues with her art I hope she's at least being more careful with this tablet. I'm not saying she needs to never move it out of her room or house, but getting a simplistic looking case for it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I've been looking at some cheaper model used tablets (college kids nearby are always selling them for like $50-$100). This thread has inspired me to try new styles and pick up drawing again and improve my own comics. If nothing else, a tablet might improve my edits.

On the other hand she dropped $2000 on it so without a doubt it's one of the fancier ones with a screen on it. She has digital drawing in the easiest possible way and she still doesn't try and not be sloppy.

Not sure what the original tablet was, but she managed to break it, so she decided to e-beg for a new fancy screen one and people paid for it. Seems a bit overkill for the drawing style really. I remember it being about the best Wacom Cintiq tablet you could get at the time though.
