I vaguely recall that was the practice in some of the frontier during the U.S.'s western expansion. Paying with panned gold.

Doesn't surprise me that the Venezuelans have gotten to that point. Their currency is worth about the same as Zimbabwe's.

What I've learned is that there is no "peaceful" transition. There will always always always be some sort of ancestral anymosity. So either you cut off ties completely and utterly or you go full scorched earth and ensure nothing is alive to hold a grudge. Allowing ANY semblance of a thing that will open up any sort of emotional blackmail will bite you in the ass sooner or later.

The third option is to culturally annihilate your conquests via the following:
1 - conscription of males and shipping them off to far-flung regions of the empire for several generations.
2 - Bringing in loyalists to culturally indoctrinate children in schools for several generations.

Notice this is what is being done to Americans.

it occurred during the California gold rush and the Georgia gold rush. but it was not because the US dollar was worthless but because The US mint could not get gold and silver out west for it to circulate. the only official US minting facilities at the time were in Philadelphia, New Orleans, Charlotte NC, and Dahlonega GA.

a lot of unoffical coins circulated in California, made out of newly mined ore by mining companies and assay officies. these are generally called "California gold pieces" and they are very collectible today. They usually follow US coin patterns and were denominated in USD. some are quite small:

the above are tiny, about the size of one of your fingernails. some we're large howver like this 50 dollar coin. these are called "slugs":

This stopped once the US Mint opened its branch facility in San Francisco which operates to this day. On a gold/silver standard the country of origin doesn't matter much, just the metal weight of each coin. A British sovereign could take the place of a US 5 dollar gold eagle and vice versa.

He is running, but as the person to eat the Maga vote if Trump goes away due to legal bullshit/assasination/gay ops. A good chunk of Trumps boomer base will love to show how not racist they are by voting for Vivek.

Vivek is the Elon ex Dem faction of the Republicans. They just want the empire to exist as is in perpuity rather than the transformations that Maga or the Left want.

She is correct in a way. As designated losers and controlled opposition the RNC isn't supposed to actually win hard so they can't get involved in local races.

I think these people are liked so much because they're pretty much subservient and don't mind being subservient. The rest of us have to go to out into the world and think for ourselves, but while we curse the system, that same system is the one giving those subservients their milk and honey.

Originally that was the plan. But in a recent interview he revealed the plan. With Desantis shitting the bed Maga has no heir apparent anymore and Trump is an old fucking dude, but his voter base and the political ideas he represents will be around alot longer. Vivek is auditioning to be Trumps political heir when he leaves the board. If he becomes the heir due to disqualification within a year thats fine. But heir in 5 years is what he is aiming for.
