I might sound schizophrenic but hear me out;
Given how all these hit-piece videos are popping out and all of them are appearing one by one "coincidentally", made by familiar horrortube people, I wouldn't be surprised if this is an organized group effort and that there is someone from that community leading/encouraging these hit piece videos.

Give it a year or two, maybe even less and we're gonna see this whole community implode similarly to how the art/"tea" community imploded during Creepshows Art shitstorm. We're gonna most likely see all these key figures that participated in demonizing Urbanspook turn against one another and start cannibalizing themselves.

We're going to see "This youtuber was an emotionally manipulative/gay/whatever the buzzword of the week is" and Google Docs callouts, one way or another. With communities like these who mainly prosper and thrive by witch hunting wrong think people, it's only a matter of time they start throwing each other under a bus when they're out of targets.

There is almost certainly some key people behind the scenes orchestrating this. I've been on the other end of this kind of gay ops in other creative circles and it's never fun, but the reasons could be many.

I don't know much about Kane Pixels or Alex so I can't make a personal judgement on them, but I'd have to imagine them falling in with Wendi and him making this hit piece are related.

PS. Greylock tapes are fucking boring and don't have an interesting central mystery.

Wow, I can't wrap my head around the fact that you actually made a video talking about something I created. Even if it's not necessarily in a good light, it's still surreal to me since I've watched your content for some time. There are some things I really want to clarify: ​

I have no idea where you've heard that I don't care about my series or that I make it only to sell shirts; that is not true. I made the first couple of episodes just for fun, but since it blew up, I really want to improve and try my hand at something new for each episode, like animation or voice acting. ​

I age-restricted episode 5 myself since this was around the time I realized that there were a lot of kids watching my series. ''The Painter'' is intended for an 18+ audience. I had no idea that so many young people in the community were watching when I started. Also, the episode was planned out way before any controversy started, it was not a response to angry people on Twitter. Speaking of... ​

Please don't take anything I do on Twitter seriously. A lot of people know me solely from Twitter by now, but I really only use that site to troll. I don't really care if anyone hates my work, I'm very aware that it's extreme and provocative. ​

I get the criticism about the writing being shit. Art and music are things I've done my whole life, and they're what I mainly want to put out there with the series. I've never done writing before, and telling a story with deep lore etc was never the point. However, there's definitely more to it. There's a bunch of hidden things in the episodes, from one-frame puzzles to clues in the audio design. I even think there's stuff people still haven't found. Seeing the community come together to figure out the name of the painter was really cool. There's more there, even if it's not that deep. And while the presentation is a bit janky (mostly because English isn't my first language), it's one of my favorite aspects of the series. If I ever made a remaster of the series, I would keep all the spelling mistakes etc in. I like the camp. ​

Lastly, hearing you say that I have talent made me really happy. Like I said, I've been enjoying your content for a long time, and I hope that I can create something that you can also enjoy in the future. Rob is a great guy, and I'm so glad to see his project grow. In fact, it might be the first analog horror series I decide to watch, thanks to how you talk about it. ​

Wendi is really good at talking about weird esoteric theories and interesting historic events but for some reason has decided to pander to the analog horror audience. Maybe it’s something he‘s into right now or maybe it’s something getting him a lot of views, but god damn if it isn’t frustrating watching one of the more interesting dudes in this part of the Internet completely abandon the content that made him interesting. I was hoping the Uncle Ted video would be a return to form but I worry it may be the end of an era.

It is funny to think that deep down this "golden age of horror discourse" is just composed of the less edgy creepypasta fans of yore.
For those of you who forgot or didn't know, the moment creepypasta was only known for random name the killer oc donut steal there was this great schism in the community and they started to self police until they lost all relevancy very much like how the burned fur furries came crashing down. The reasons given was both the bad storytelling and gratuity of the more well known stories, which usually were edgy emo looking kid that was bullied gets deformed, becomes insane and starts to kill only people that deserve it. Add the real Slenderman proxies and that everyone that could actually write didn't want their creations being twisted by horny amateurs.

In case you are curious, there's still a creepypasta community that did self-police and according to their consensus they have higher quality authors now. The "burned fur" creepypasta community became the r/nosleep people, so if you take that as an example they did improve and it spawned greater recognition from more traditional horror media. Kerry Hammond and Charlotte Bywater may not ring a bell but "I'm a Search and Rescue Officer for the US Forest Service..." and "I found a hidden door in my cellar..." managed to get Nick Antosca's recognition and became the inspiration for Series 3 and 4 of Channel Zero. Hell, Borrasca by Rebecca Klingel was adapted by Cole Sprouse and earned her a career in media.

There was and there's still talent online. If Kister isn't getting real attention soon maybe that's a sign he was just Wenditurfed slop and the fact he is rebooting everything over including suicide tells me all I need to know. Do you guys remember Borrasca, which Wendigoon called the scariest shit he had ever read? That shit ends with the main character discovering the town he lives in subsists of the authorities forcefully impregnating runaway women including his sister and selling the babies. Klingel was forced by her readers to make an alternative ending where somehow the protagonist can make everything right through the power of killing those that deserve it even though that goes against the themes of the story. Online horror fans really can't cope with real world horrors.

At the end of the day a bunch of these smoothbrains equate using real life messed up shit like slurs, rape, suicide or manipulation as if the author is personally trying to normalize it, ignore that these horrendous acts are performed by actors we are meant to despise. With me bringing me up creepypasta into this I think that a lot of online horror fans want to see themselves as the monsters/killers or at least analogous to them and since they are so politically inclined they take personal offence. A lot of zoomers did grew up with horror comedies and since they are way less religious the only type of horror that is still done in earnest, demonslop, they took it as a lame banner to revolt. You may think I'm crazy but see the hatedom of Hazbin Hotel.
