Shit like this is the only part of this mess that makes it funny. This is the first full blown race war of the 21st century fought with fighter jets and played out politically on western streets.
And it's jews vs Arabs. But that is just the set up for the joke. The real joke comes from how for the last 30 years the western left has built up the narrative of oppressor and oppressed, colonist vs. native, law vs. atrocity.
And every last part of their world view has been broken by this war. They say they want to support the laws of war, while saying because one belligerent party put its command and control bunkers under hospitals the other side has to stop, because it's just unbearable for the hospitals to come under attack. and just think of the children! no, not the Israeli children kidnapped on October 7, the Palestinian ones suffering in retaliation.
And above all else never say there is a military solution to the problem. Because there actually is a military solution. And Israel is in the process of carrying it out. Even if it means the Neo-Natal intensive care ward above the Hamas military HQ has to become a tomb rather then a place of healing.

Eh, I get the distinct feeling China is doing the diplomatic version of virtue signaling so that they can tell their Arab and Iranian business partners, "Hey, we tried to set up negotiations, but no one wanted to negotiate." A Middle East mad at poor treatment of Muslim minorities doesn't really help China all that much, but if they don't try to soothe tensions, then the Middle East players will ask, "Where were you before?" So, China has to put in a token effort to a conflict they have no stake in any way.

They fucking ended it with a stalemate, they couldn't even invade a battered Vietnam that had just finished its last war, currently fighting an insurgency of Khmer Rogue militants, and reunifying with the south.

I swear, the whole “Queers for Palestine” movement happening is lol worthy. There are no LGBTBBQ protection laws in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip. There have been recent reports of the Palestine Authority banning gay pride events and police killing a gay Palestinian refugee because he’s gay, and you’ll still love Hamas and Palestine and even claim that they’re more progressive than Western countries. This isn’t me trying to defend Israel here, but Jesus Christ.
There’s no point in appealing to fags or troons if this is their endgame.

What really made me realize how serious Israelis are about this is my friend in Tel Aviv.
I remember him back when the second intifada had just kicked off and he was constantly hating on his government and sympathizing with the Palestinians. And since social media cam onto the scene, he was constantly schilling peace posts and the most liberal causes in Israel, two state solution, end Zionism, etc etc.
Now after the 7th he's finally seemed to realize that "holy shit, these people want to kill me" and is now total Gaza death. Kind of interesting how one event can destroy 20 something years of programming.
