He's understandably insecure because of his previous fatso status but he chose to hide his appearance and allowed legions of underage fangirls to lust over him and how ~mysterious~ he was and assume he was a qt twink for ages. He obviously got off on the attention and rise to notoriety, and once he shed the pounds and did the face reveal he was hoping for more, but it backfired and he's just been on a downward spiral since then. He really should have done a face reveal much earlier and maybe even documented his weight loss, which I have to give him props for. But he tried to keep being "Dream" and not Clayton and now he's suffering the consequences.

So, I'd agree with this, but from what I've seen, at least two of his friends (Quackity and Sneegsnag) literally dropped legal careers to pursue content creation full time, while all of the DSMP members that graduated high school during the pandemic have publicly refusing to pursue higher education, with Tommy and Tubbo dropping out of school when they were 17.

From what I can tell, the only former-DSMP people that AREN'T putting all their eggs into the career youtuber basket are ClayRay and Nihachu. Even Philza, a man in his mid-30s, is still "working" full time as a streamer.
