She really is fixated on the FFG boyfriend situation, isn’t she?
FFG is careful for the most part about what aspects of her personal she talks about and she had a valid point when she says her channel is not about her but her reactions and other content.
Maybe she currently has a boyfriend and it might even be the same one she had when the topic was first brought up. Or maybe she ended that relationship and is keeping him and possibly subsequent relationship to herself.
FFG is self admittedly fat and not good looking. So what? She brings a lot to the table in intelligence, a great work ethic and a well developed sense of humour. She doesn’t throw people under the bus, quickly admits to mistakes and has a really outgoing personality.
Boyfriend or not, Chantal cannot understand why FFG would have a boyfriend and not constantly talk about him. She’s never understood respect for others and boundaries.
Chantal has very limited views of what it means to be a ‘successful’ female and like in her Grandmom’s day, she doesn’t see past having a man. She could live in a flea bitten hovel with the world’s biggest dolt and be convinced she’s far more successful than a single, accomplished woman with no man and no need for one. She’d rather be gracelessly stuck in the situation in which she finds herself, as long as said ‘man’ threw food at her 5-6 times a day.
I could almost tolerate the awkwardness they displayed towards each other the first few months they were together. After all they knew bugger all about each other.
A year+ in and that awkwardness is still there. You know she’s clingy as hell and in constant need of reassurance. A sane man would have bounced months ago. So would have an intelligent one but sadly for us and luckily for her, he’s neither. But God, he’s tedious… at best.
About that 10 year age difference… they both seemed to have topped out at 13 or so when it comes to emotional maturity. Guess it works for them in their day to day life but let’s see what happens during their first major fight or some kind of emergency. He might get a glimmer of what a future with her really entails.
I used to think the thing about her that pushed my buttons most was her taking a giant chomp of whatever she was eating then thrusting the food towards the camera, all after smugly chirping “beauty bite.”
Now the hair on the back of my neck goes up ever time he pinched her cheek or paws her face. Maybe that’s a ‘me’ problem but any man tried that with me.., he’d get one warning… then end up on the floor on one of his child bearing hips. It’s just so… wrong; the behaviour of an awkward elder around a young snot factory… hmmm.., maybe it is appropriate for her and she’s always said the best part of loooove for her was a man stroking her face for hours while gazing deeply into her eyes.
Yuck
