He just doesn't like streaming anymore and have gotten a taste of streaming less and can't bring himself to stream that long any longer. Notice that back before the trial streams he could stream for 6 hours plus on night shows without getting visibly drunk and would talk himself into staying on screen despite saying he should close out the stream.

After the trials he burned out, started hating streams and would come up with various excuses to have less stream days. And now he even ends streams about 3 to 4 hours in very close to when he starts saying he should stop cause of kids but we know he always BSes. Dude cannot wait to clock out. There is no proof that the kids needs all that driving.bHe hates ALL his audience now.

I think to a large degree this is because Nick can’t unring the bell of having disclosed so much embarrassing personal information to the internet and now has to be on constant guard during streams, steeling himself for any remotely critical or troll-y superchats.

Honestly those hours don't sound unreasonable, at least as far as being what would be required to handle to ludicrous number of chats that come in and still have a show at night.

For the trial itself, you've got 8-9 hours (with breaks/recess), and if he had a panel there was usually an hour or two of wrap-up. He hit some chats during the breaks but he's going to need some breaks for himself even with his family delivering food. Then he was doing the standard three+ hour show most nights on top of that. That's an easy 12-14 hours and I do remember him having a lot of days like that but he did take several nights and weekends off so I don't know if he actually had any weeks where he hit 80 hours. If you add on superchat catch-up streams I honestly don't think it's out of the question that just slamming through the chats without even responding to them would probably have been five hours but I don't know if he actually did any of those

I also think it's fair to count any show prep that he might have been doing at the time as 'work', be that looking for topics aside from the current trial for the night show, setting up guests, or panel arrangements, anything like that.

I don't think anyone would disagree that at the time he was genuinely busting his ass in an unsustainable manner. I also don't think that anyone would disagree that he's incapable of that level of effort anymore, let alone staying sober while doing it
