One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

Someone pointed out the 5 Elders and Imu might be Devil Fruit users. I wonder if the water weakness could just be Imu being a Umibozu. The Red Line being like the highest place in the world is basically Imu doing some bullshit with their powers or something.
I think the 5 Elders have Devil Fruits, I don't think Imu does.

I don't think Imu will be a direct threat and when the time comes for him to face punishment for his crimes..he goes down just like The Celestial Dragon Luffy punched in Sadabody.

I don't know where the morons in this thread get the impression that the Celestial Dragons are inbred retards. St. Charlos is undoubtedly an idiot, but he's basically the only one portrayed as stupid. The rest appear to have some kind of cunning, but then you have absolute beasts like Doflamingo and Shanks who are not only powerful, but highly intelligent.
This is an argument for nature vs nurture.

Zoro's birthday is on the same day as Rhodesia declared independence.

I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

I think Kuma is going to push out the disease and give it to himself. It fits what we've already been shown where Kuma takes the pain of others. I think the deal with Vegapunk was that turning him into an android/cyborg would make sure he'd survive the illness since he'd no longer have a normal human body, but it would also mean that he'd be a tool of the military. I don't know for what reason he'd want to keep living, but I assume it was to ensure that Bonney at least had a parent for a little bit longer.

Captain Kid announced.

Figuarts' One Piece line is looking good so far. Its just a shame they'll be releasing Wano figures a year after Wano stopped being relevant. Though, it would be cool to see Big Mom, Kin'emon and Kozuki Oden figures before they move on to Egghead. Kin'emon especially, since he was a Straw Hat for nearly half the series.

useless "captain" mid
Funny how he was so hyped up at the start and ended up being one of the most irrelevant supernovas and a jobber to boot. Speaking of the novas, wonder when Urouge will do something, the ones that seemed more like just background noise like Bonnie and Bege ended up being a lot more relevant than I expected.

Newest chapter and I am really angry

Bonney is Ginny's child from a Tenryubito who took her as his wife after she got caught. And apparently he threw her away after she got sick with something called "sapphire scale"
And unfortunately Bonnyes has it too. Though at least now we know where she got her name Jewelry Bonney from as Kuma coined the stone in her face "jewels"

Kid defeated Big Mom and stood toe-to-toe with Kaido. Yeah, trying to take on both Shanks and Elsbaf by himself was suicidally stupid, but the dude ain't a jobber.

*Fought Big Mom while Hawkins was doing his voodoo bullshit.

I hope he and Killer resurface. Killer was a fun character alternative Zoro and his relationship with Kid made them stand out from Law.

Maybe I'm senile, but I'm pretty sure defeating Big Mom required Law there to even be possible. And well, seeing how Kidd was initially painted as the biggest bigshot of the Supernovas after Luffy and the only thing I can remember him for is being jailed, tag teaming to take down Big Mom with Law and getting nuked by Shanks and the giants, lets say he didn't leave the greatest impression.

Kidd WAS the biggest big shot of the Supernovas. His entire introduction existed to show that Luffy wasn’t at the top. I just donot think Aida knows what to do with him, but thinks he’s too cool to drop outright, unlike Urouge. It seems like Wano was partially designed to bring an end to a good chunk of the Supernovas.

I do remember reading he ended up creating 10 other characters outside of Luffy and Zorro since 12 was a nice round number but kind of regretted it later when it came time to flesh them out. So I wouldn't be surprised he created most of them just cause they were cool and then after their introduction proceeded to repurpose them for whatever the plot needed. I always go back to Bege, the moment I saw his design I was convinced he would be the most irrelevant of the lot by far. Ended up being a big player during the Big Mom and Sanji wedding kerfuffle and was awesome at that. Just seems surprising that Kidd after his introduction never really got much action yet Law ended up stapled to the side of the crew for years and Bonnie is suddenly the most important by far lorewise.

Actually, I think the opposite happened: he made ten new characters because he thought Saboady wasn’t getting exciting, and was planning on dumping them immediately, but then realized he had a great set of gotos any time he needed a character to show up without worrying about an introduction.

Only thing I can assume is that Urogue will play a bigger part when it's time to talk about Sky Islands and the Moon citizens and Enel will probably appear again

I can remember back when Enies Lobby was wrapping up, and how maligned Skypeia was for being “out of place” and “filler diversion.” I held then and I hold now that whole arc is peak One Piece (it also felt so late into the series back then).

The biggest thing against Skypeia is that it starts off slow and follows a short but good arc in Jaya. Enel is a fun villain and probably my favorite fight in the series as it was good seeing both Enel and Luffy try and one up each other. The problem is definitely the begining.
